“We were passing through on a trip and stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast menu had a variety of choices. I had an omelet that was large and tasty. My wife had bacon, eggs and hashbrowns that were all good too. The waitress was friendly with excellent service and fast food delivery. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. Street side curb parking is ample plus if you are towing a trailer or are in a motorhome there is a wide shoulder off the main road in front of the restaurant to park on. If you are in or near Culver, Oregon this is a good place to eat.”
“Perfect landing spot to do some remote work and drink some really amazing coffee. Also get some baked goods while you’re here. The scone was absolutely fantastic. Great shop, welcoming and friendly owner. There is a drive up window, but the inside is adorable and you should come in.”
“Great place to hang out, eat some food, drink & get to know your locals. The crew there is always spot on, even on busy nights. Highly recommend! Amazing owners!!!!”
“Stopped here on a whim after seeing they have cinnamon rolls on Yelp while rolling through town en route to Bend. It's a little off the highway, but worth it! They have a good variety of baked goods--breads, pies, cookies, brownies, scones, and of course, cinnamon rolls! They had regular ones as well as some with marionberry on top, and a pecan sticky bun. I had the regular one. It was amazing, such a perfect road trip treat! It was soft and light, not dense or dry at all--I recommend having them warm it up. It did not have a lot of cinnamon in it, but it wasn't needed. The frosting tastes like it has maple in it, which made it even better. The only thing wrong with this place is it's only open Fridays and Saturdays. If it were open on my way back home, I would get a whole tray to bring back!!”
“This little coffee shop is so adorable. I came to meet someone for a study session and they were so welcoming and helpful! My brain wasn’t quite awake and I ordered the wrong thing and they just fixed it for me with a smile on their faces. I will come back whenever I get a chance!”
“We stopped here for breakfast before a long drive home to Yamhill Oregon. We were drawn by the other good reviews, as well as the fact that we could keep an easy eye on our dogs and also safely let them out for a bathroom break. The service was fast and the food and drinks were really yummy, as well as being GIGANTIC portions. Highly recommend!Parking: Easy, wide open parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly menu items and the owner is a grandma, so she gives out the friendly Grammy vibes ❤️.”
“Surprising little hole in the wall type shop. Like a permanent food truck in an open food court of 3 shops. More than enough seating in evening. Only saw 3 other customers do pick-up orders, but food is decent as is the serving size - we did order the bento style combos mind you.”
“It was my first time visiting and my experience was the best! I felt difficult ordering my blended white coffee, coconut milk, vanilla, and carmel drink but the barista was helpful and kind. The barista recommended lactose free milk, so it wouldn't be as slushy. My drink was perfect. It was made perfectly and tasted better than my go-to drink at home.”
“We recently moved to the area and were pleased such a "watering hole" was within walking distance to our house. So we wandered over there around 10:00 on New Years and met some of the locals. Staff and customers were all friendly and helpful. We had a great time! As our "meal" was liquid, i didn't rate the food, although the plates coming out of the kitchen looked like standard fare you'd expect. This was the second time we'd been there and will undoubtedly be back.”
“This is part of an outdoor food court. It was the only place open on a Sunday evening among the three places here. I ordered a Thai iced tea and the spicy salmon roll, which has avocado, salmon, cucumber, and masago. Fairly tasty. The Thai iced tea was a lot less sweet than what I am used to.The cashier/cook was friendly and efficient. I received my food in less than 10 minutes. All food is served in takeout containers Overall, not a bad place, especially if you need a quick bite when passing through Madras.”
“This Black Bear does it right. Food is amazing, service is great, and you never leave unsatisfied. I've had horrible service at the Redmond location, but not here. Employees are friendly and professional.”
“Fantastic food!! Definitely fine dining. Service was very good and the atmosphere was casually quaint. Looking forward to going back when they have the outside seating set up. The food was artistically presented and very flavorful.”
“We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. The pizza is always very good and the drinks were flowing. Rick and his staff are great. As far as being willing h Harvest Host, Rick was very accommodating when we didn’t have a place to stay on Friday he said it would be fine for us to spend the night there. We will be going back there on another trip to central Oregon.”
“Hi I just want to say thank you for the treat on this beautiful Saturday. I just think that no matter how difficult our days are there is wonderful people out here to brighten the future of our paths. God Bless everyone. Much love”
“Oh, what a delightful place Yara’s Cake Shop is an absolute haven for cake aficionados. The cakes are pure magic - divine flavors and lovely designs. The staff? They're like sweet frosting on the cake - so warm and helpful!this place is a slice of heaven for any cake lover. Swing by for a treat; you won't regret it!”
“Great little bar! We had chicken bacon wrap that was stuffed full and very tasty chicken wings that would put Buffalo wild wings to shame! Definitely would stop again when coming through Madras! Our waitress was very attentive and amazing too!”
“I just stopped in on my day off for a brew before the Christmas holiday. It was very pleasant. Shawn was excellent! The video games are fun. Great time, even alone. A friendly bunch there!”
“Was drawn in by the lure of$2 Tacos on a Tuesday. Friend and I got 6 Al Pastor and 6 Tri-Tip. Comes with Salsa Verda, Onion, Cilantro and Cotija. The Tri-Tip was great, juicy, tender, and chopped fine on the flat top. The Al Pastor though was FANTASTIC! Chopped fine with the same ingredients. It takes a little longer to prepare but my Guy uses a passed down family recipe and it's top notch! He is also very friendly and conversational which was a plus in my book. Kudos! Very much worth what you pay. Will most definitely be back!P.S. They aren't just a taco truck. He has Sandos, Wraps and smash burgers too!”
“Best Mexican food ive found in the entire North West of the state's. Wish it was closer to home. I guess I will be relocating to be closer to it!Parking: The location appears to be a old sonic, so there is plenty of covered parking!Kid-friendliness: Had booster seats available. Hard to come by for fast food joints.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking space with easy access to front door.”
“We went here today to see the waterfall phenomenon couldn't find it and called the restaurant that wasnt open for the day just yet and the gal on the phone was nice enough to explain everything about it and where it was. We actually did find it, but It was just a trickle. It's a 3 to 4 day thing that happens and we were unfortunately a day late. I wanted to thank the gal that we spoke to for the help, beause we did actually find it thanks to her. I'd never been out to the tap house before and I will definitely be going back. Great location and thank you for being so kind and helping us to find what we were looking for. We would have ate with you today but my daughter had to leave for work and we couldn't stay. We will be back soon. ?”
“We were passing by and found this place by accident. In all fairness, it was the happiest accident I've had in a long time. Let me start with the people who manage and serve food at this place: they are very kind, friendly and very helpful. The cook is probably the best Mexican cook in the entire Oregon state. Great food, amazingly tasty, potions are just the right size and the price is more than fair.Even though I live far away from this place I can't wait to come back in the future.”
“A wonderful little place that's clean, comfortable and very reasonable. Best New Yorker sandwich I've had in a long time. Definitely the best stopping.point between Portland and Sunriver.”
“Spent the morning hiking at Smith Rock and on our way to Portland, we wanted some coffee and came across The Human Bean. I got a Cinnamon Toast Snowy and my boyfriend got an Arnold Palmer. Both were very good! Would definitely stop again if we came across another location.”
“This place deserves a higher star rating. Service was good, staff polite and on the ball, food was served fast, and the tofu and mixed vegetable dish was the best I had in any Chinese restaurant.”
“In my opinion, this is the best pizza in Madras right now. The ingredients are all good quality, and whether I pickup or have it delivered, it's always hot and tasty.”
“I was certainly impressed with the free food table out front during the Covid outbreak. In addition, to being our favorite Saluda County restaurant - best farm to table restaurant I’ve visited. A true treasure in our community.”
“We're beyond grateful ? and thrilled for The Wandering Chef's food and experience! My husband and I worked with him for our reception that hosted about 120 people. The food was incredible! Without much direction, he got our vision ? The food was the quality of a high end restaurant--light, bright, and bursting with flavor (and my personal fav, the two main dishes had lots of veggies)--with the ease, affordability, and whimsy of the traveling food cart (that just parked on our driveway!) So many of our guests raved about the food and the gourmet Mac and Cheese ? was a hit with the kiddos (and adults). We highly recommend The Wandering Chef!”
“Parking: One parking lot and useful to use parking lot across the street from itKid-friendliness: Great food for kids and great environmentWheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp to make it wheelchair accessibile”
