Nestled next to Autzen Stadium right on the waterfront, this place is an icon of the city of Eugene. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in this town who isn't familiar with the name Kowloons whether it be frequenting the restaurant, ordering take out, or hanging out at The City which was it's night club.. Until about 6 years ago, when the business was sold to new owner, this was most likely the best chinese food anywhere around. Food was excellent, portions were large, everything was made fresh in house. Since then however, it has gone steadily downhill. Food was mediocre at best, all the sauces and hot mustard came in packets, & portions were small until finally (unfortunately) the new owner ran the business into the ground and Kowloons is now, sadly, closed for good. It will be greatly missed.

Kowloon's is the best American-Chinese food in Eugene. The kowloons secret sauce is amazing and good on everything! They will be greatly missed.

Good food, had to wait so they brought it out.

I placed a online order at 5:30 pm. I never got it. They could not be bothered to answer the phone during open hours. I probably will not order from them again. They used to have good food and service. I do not know what changed but with so many other choices in town, why put up with this crap? I finally got my food at 8:30pm. The food is not even remotely warm. It tastes like it was made several days ago and reheated. I am not sure it was even chicken. I can get much better fried chicken from the frozen section at Walmart.

Never had any problems personally! Pretty good food. A lot of portion options depending on how many people you're feeding. They do take out and delivery. Overall a solid spot??

This spot is worth a try. They have big portions for convenient prices. Regularly well kept and with good atmosphere. Will come back again.

Don’t order their house hot mustard, it is their way to make money as they never put it in the delivery and their food needs the help. They promise to bring it after the fact and don’t. Sad...

Good Chinese takeout now. Used to enjoy the view

I ordered online. Most of the food was adequate if bland, but the fried shrimp was inedible. I called to complain and was told thank you and hung up on. No offer to fix it or attempt to apologize. I spent well over $100 and will never eat there again. So incredibly rude!

Average food, bar was good before covid19.

This used to be my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant - hands down.Their Kung Pao King was awesome, and their sweet and sour pork was super flavorful. When I lived several states away and came back to visit, I always made sure to include at least one Kowloon meal per trip. Those days are definitely over. There were hints in recent orders, but I always made excuses - everyone has off days -even restaurants. But, I am finally ready to accept that the bad food is not an aberration, it's just how they do it now.The quality of the food is just embarrassingly low - embarrassing because I raved about it before getting take out for my guests (big mistake). The flavors are now processed and/or quite unpleasant. The oil used to fry the sweet and sour pork had that overused/rancid aftertaste that even their sweet and sour sauce (which is still quite good) couldn't disguise. The fried shrimp were pale and greasy (like squeeze out and dab at the oil dripping down). The Kung Pao is now made with bottled sauce, and the dish was (not a joke or exaggeration) 50% white onion with no peanuts to be found. (We actually poured it int a glass dish to look for them!), and there was a peculiar bitterness to the carrots that none of us could explain except maybe they were just old?Our takeout bag was missing several items (fortune cookies, the extra S&S sauce we ordered, and soy sauce). It was actually so bad it was funny, and at least that saved the atmosphere for us, and the staff are still nice - but, at the end of the day, it's a restaurant that serves crappy food.Sorry guys, but the era has ended. I dunno WTF happened in that kitchen over the past few years, but this last meal proved the other errors weren't aberrations.I hate to be harsh, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Find one of the nifty Asian food trucks around town or ask your friends about their go-to Chinese food places. Kowloon's food has become depressingly unpleasant.Color me nostalgic and kinda sad.

Get it right, Kowloon. All the signs on your doors say you are open to 3 pm for lunch, as well as the website. Go there and all locked up. Call them and they say only open for take out. No where does it say that.

Kowloons just lost a long time customer. I've never been so disappointed with a meal. We ordered the family style dinner for two. The sweet and sour pork was burnt so bad we couldn't eat it at all. The chow mein noodles were doughy. There was hardly any vegetables or pork in it. Mar far chicken was edible but a little under cooked. Fried rice was good but it's hard to screw up rice. We ordered a 1/2 order of barbecue pork which was quite good but the hot mustard was obviously watered down. The sweet and sour and the duck sauce were watery as well. I realize times are tough during the pandemic but if you charge that much for a meal to take home you'd better make it good. There are a lot of other places to get a Chinese meal in this town.
