Laid-back bakery with plenty of seating and sunny booths near windows to sip coffee and read books in. Nestled in the heart of the Whitaker neighborhood. Beautiful patio in the summertime. Great food too!

Stopped in after I found Wheat Montana didn't open until 7...I wanted something more substantial than a doughnut. The gal working that morning suggested a ham and cheese croissant. It was delicious and just what the doctor ordered. Thanks!

I had a delicious two-egg scramble, with generous mix-ins and toast. I wanted decaf coffee and, as with many spots, they don't brew decaf but offer to make a decaf Americano instead. In my experience, Americanos are often kind of watery but theirs was perfect, tasted just like a good cup of strong brewed coffee. Loved the friendly vibe. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Eugene.

A great experience, super cheap for baked goods and a lovely atmosphere. You get to order at the counter and then seat yourself. The outdoor seating is super

Called to place a cupcake order on a Thursday was told the could make them and the baker would call me back that day to go over my order. Never called back, I called them. Baker had already left for the day and they would call me back the next day. Nobody called I had to call them. Told me they would have the baker call back again. Still no response on Saturday. Called back said they would call the baker, I asked if they could even make 3 dozen cupcakes and would I actually get a call back. Was told that I should find another place because they are to overwhelmed. Should have told me that from the beginning. So now I am still looking for a place to get cupcakes. Poor customer service.

The food is a bit bland- what we'd call "plain food" at the summer camp I used to work at. That means I need the hot sauce I carry in the glove compartment or just ask for it, along with the salt and pepper. This however, is a godsend for those afflicted with special dietary needs- my person cannot currently handle any oil or spice so this is perfect for them. So , tbh, food might be 3 stars. However- it's loaded w/ vegetarian options and they make their own bread. Also, the ambiance, service and PRICE of this place are worth that extra star- you havn't seen prices like this since 2000. And the open airy, natural wood and plant vibe is straight out of the 1970's. Ditto the open air, come hang out and chill, welcome to the big courtyard. And the super nice friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

This business hasn't had an inspection in 12 years and it's abundantly clear from the filth you see there. They have a big jug to offer water out of but they don't change it or clean it. There's a man who works there that inappropriately touches his own employees but in the current economic climate there's nothing they can do about it because they need to keep their jobs. The food is inconsistent, sometimes it's okay and other times it's horrible. I've seen them sweep ants off of pastries before they send them out, they don't clean or change out their bins that they store baking goods in and the environment can be quite toxic. If I could give zero stars I would.
