Ive gone here 4 times now and now was the only time they has ceviche. It was the saddest excuse for a ceviche I have ever seen for $18. The service has always been slow and has never been accommodating. Additionally, every time I have tried to order, I feel as if I am inconveniencing the worker somehow as a customer and have been never given any ounce of respect. I was an avid customer and rarely leave any reviews but the service was so mishandled, I felt entitled to share my experience so that others knew what they are also paying for. i wish i could go here again bc its near my house, but i wont make that mistake again.

Incredible food! I live close so I am here at least once a week recently. Food is amazing- I highly recommend the Chicken Verde Torta. The margaritas are also really good, and they offer really good non-alcoholic drinks as well. Good service and everyone is very nice and helpful. Great place for anyone.

What a delightful surprise! Exceeded expectations. Everything fresh and flavorful. You can taste the care put into making each dish. Shocked to have a place like this in Eugene. Make it your next try.

I love this spot. The food is so fresh and delicious. I got the cubano which was amazing. It had so many flavors. It had pineapple in it which I loved. It's served with fresh tortilla chips which hit the spot. Menu has a wide selection of sandwiches, enchiladas, burritos, appetizers, and more. The sauce selection is great. I loved the chipotle salsa. Overall vibe of the restaurant is super cute. All the food served on colorful patterned dishes. Quaint, local spot in a great location. Great for any occasion. The woman taking our order was very friendly and food came out fast. I believe they do takeout as well. If you haven't been here definitely come asap!!

Update: it's been a minute since my last visit and felt the added star was necessary. Had queso dip, guacamole to start it was on point also came with a red salsa that was mild but tasty. The tortas were great! Fresh well toasted bread so they hold up the wet style sandwich. The service is very friendly even though it's counter ordering they brought out our food and explained the sauces etc. those little things don't go unnoticed and make me feel welcome. Go eat there!

I just moved into the neighborhood down the street, and am very content here with this homey, aesthetic and delicious joint. The hardest issue I'll be having is whether I'd like to conquer the whole menu or resort to my favorites. Those being Torta de quesa birria and the chile relleno bombazo. Very friendly.

I did not have the tortas, but I saw them being eaten on either side of me. The bread was crusty and crispy. My friend's order dish was Torta Ahogada ($14) which is cheap considered it's got Agate Alley, Beppe and Gianni's, and the 19th St. McMenamins all within walking distance. Between the prices and the quality of the food, I'm telling you, if you're on that corner, you know the one, looking for a good place to eat, give it a try! They source locally. The fish in my $12 ceviche came from Newman's Fish Market. First of all ridiculous cheap for fresh fish, and a good sized dollop of it too! It was swimming in a creamy lime/ginger sauce and there were 3 slices of sweet potatoes. I asked if that was potato and he said, "sweet potato, it's Peruvian style." there were two slices of sweet white potato and red sweet potato in between them. The service is super friendly and above and beyond. They can replace the bread with 2 (GF) corn tortillas. But we had come in past dinner rush and the fryer had already been turned off. That sweet person plugged it in just for my two tortillas. But I decided to order the Ceviche and I'm so glad I did.

All I can say is that I ate and left NO crumbs. This was so good, I got the Birria torta, the meat was a little dry but the garlic sauce, my god the garlic sauce they put on this torta will quite literally knock your socks off. My hands were dripping with the crime I just committed on that torta. Could’ve used a few more spices for the actual meat to push that Birria flavor forward more but overall an amazing torta and would highly recommend. The margs were also amazing and the service was too, very kind and patient staff.Credentials: Honorary white boy at Mexican gatheringsVegetarian options: Partner had a very easy time finding and selecting a torta, as well as many other dishes on the menu that looked amazing as well

There aren’t a ton of places in Eugene that I really like, but this is tied for the best sandwich in Eugene in my opinion, and one of the best restaurants in town. It is hearty and a bit fatty/salty, bit that is literally the only downside. The meat in the sandwiches (recommend the quesa birria if you eat beef) is awesome, the bread is insanely good (I can only think of like four restaurants I’ve ever been to that the bread was notably good, and I lived in New Orleans for years and slammed like 5 Po Boys a week), and the toppings/sides are simple and well-paired. Yeah, it’s a 14$ sando or whatever, but you will waddle out of that place without being able to eat dessert unless you’re a college football player or equivalent (I’m late thirties). At present, I’ve only had sandwiches and margaritas OH BY THE WAY there are usually two (2) separate frozen margs on tap and so far they haven’t missed on any of the flavors I’ve tried. Finally, staff is super helpful and nice and the music is bumping.in summary, I was conflicted about writing this review, as I live a couple blocks away and never want to wait in line here or not be able to get in bc it’s too crowded. However, I also want to eat here for another decade at least, and it seems like a tough spot as restaurants seem to come and go from this location. So I’m begrudgingly telling you how good it is bc I rarely see anyone there and I want them to stay.

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Lived in the Eugene area for several years now and couldn't recommend this spot enough. One of the best spots in town. The food is flavorful and fresh and the portions of their tortas are very filling. Chips and salsa and guacamole were delicious too, some of the best guac I've had. The space is a bit small and there's not a lot of seating options but it's very clean and there's an outdoor space that's accommodating for warmer weather. People are very friendly and helpful. It's a in a cozy just off of campus and next to a park, the food is fantastic and is some of the best upscaled Mexican I've ever had. Price is a bit inflated but the quality is definitely worth it if you're willing to compensate the extra few dollars.

Amazing food and amazing margaritas! Quite possibly my new favorite restaurant in Eugene. Highly recommend!
