Tucked in the hills just outside Eugene is a beautiful little winery (we were told the oldest winery in that part of the state). Our wine guide for the afternoon was incredibly energetic and passionate about the wine - and so we had a couple of tastings (the pinot and the bold red tastings). They offered really excellent wines and we enjoyed ourselves immensely by the warm fireplace while it drizzled coolly outside. We picked up a bottle to go and we were set!!

The Silvan Ridge winery is so wonderful! My husband and I ordered their red tasting flight and a glass of our favorites from that flight. Kathy is AWESOME, very helpful, and attentive. We noticed the staff hustling to help guests with reservations and without clearly displaying exceptional customer service. We also ordered the charcuterie board, which contained one of the best blue cheese samples I've had in a long time!!If you find yourself at Sweet Cheeks (just across the way), please give Silvan Ridge a try as I believe their wines are truly the Willamette Valley experience one should enjoy.

I love wine and often go to wineries for the experience and atmosphere. I was so excited to go to Silvan Ridge since I have heard amazing things, but unfortunately my time at Silvan Ridge was one of my worst experiences at a winery that I have ever had! A group of friends and I had made a reservation for Father’s Day, and I was so shocked by how horrible the customer service is here! The older, blonde, thin lady that was supposed to be helping us had only come to our table a total of 2 times for the whole 3 hours that we were there (it wasn’t like we were just sitting there, we were planning to spend a least a couple hundred dollars)…when this woman would come to our table, she would always look so annoyed and would make us feel very uncomfortable! We actually had to get up and find someone for help multiple times since apparently our lady was too bothered to give her tables any attention. I was understanding of all of this, and thought maybe this is just an off day for Silvan Ridge, however what had happened while we were leaving has made me never want to come back to Silvan Ridge ever again! We had to find someone else to close out our tab, that woman had black hair and was so lovely! However, as we were leaving the older thin blonde lady had stopped us as we were walking out to “confront” us about not paying our bill!!!! When we told her that we had already paid, she told us that she didn’t believe us, and we had to show her who closed out our tab…We were in the middle of the tasting room while this woman tried to accuse us of not paying in front of everyone! To make matters even worse, after we had explained that we had paid and even showed her who closed out our tab, THIS WOMAN FOLLOWED US OUT OF THE TASTING ROOM!! I have honestly never been so humiliated in my entire life…I will never be going back to Silvan Ridge, and I highly recommend supporting another winery that does not try to humiliate and acuse their customers of not paying a bill they have already paid!

Very nice experience here. Old school Oregon winery, not like fancy California copycats. Wine and food is reasonable and tasty. We got excellent service on a rainy and windy Wednesday afternoon. Plenty of room and lots of seating. The fireplace adds nice ambiance.

We tried this winery on a Tuesday, got to love spring break, and we were the only ones. The ambiance was fabulous, pictures online don't do it justice. Some wines were hit and some miss. All and all we would go back (and went home with some bottles)

My husband and I went here for an event: wood-fired pizza and wine. We had to make reservations for a certain time slot but it wasn't super crowded. The views from the winery itself are pretty good. However we were seated in a back room with no view but a fireplace. The pizza was good, with a nice crust and good cheese and peppers and meat. We split a flight of bold reds (at @18 for 5 tastings of each about 2 oz, pretty pricey). There was one we liked ok-ish ( a blend of Reds). Of course, everyone has their own tastebuds but ours did agree to not spend a lot of time with their reds. Service was friendly. Maybe I will try their whites next times. Would be a nice place in the summer on their patio.
