There is one employee here who always holds you socially hostage and says very inappropriate things. There have been ongoing problems with rats and as that last employee I was talking about will tell you “it smells terrible pretty sure there’s something dead under the floor”. The food has gone down hill severely, and is often rushed, and I have even seen that same employee mentioned before, drop something in the trash or on the floor then pick it up and serve it to someone, or mess up someone’s order and when they ask for it to be re-made he refuses. The cart is often under staffed as well. The owner doesn’t care about the business and wont try to do anything about the issues. There are lots of places in Eugene that have the same menu items but do it much better and I would recommend going to any of them instead.

I love their Miso Salmon. The salad and dressing are both good too.

Really super tasty. Onigiri resembles a kind of sushi. But bigger. And they already add soy sauce and herbs over it. The herbs are added, giving it a nice crispy shortness. They cost about $7 each. If you're a good eater, you'll have three. But one for lunch is also delicious.

Wonderful vegetarian food! Onigiri is damn good! Extremely excited to have found this place. Has made my top five go to places for food when I don't feel like cooking. Prices are great, serving size is spot on, and flavor is amazing. Got the tofu and the sweet potato and onion onigiri. Can't wait to go back!Vegetarian options: I believe you can even make it vegan!

Food and Staff are great, but there is no way to leave a tip from a card or Apple Pay. The staff probably live on tips and nobody uses cash nowadays. I always come to Ume and I literally had to pay$3.75 to use the ATM in the convenience store, so I could leave a couple bucks in cash. The staff always remember me and what I order, and the food is great at a great price, but the workers deserve tips!!

My favorite dish! The miso tahini sauce is amazing. They always give you so much food- I always have left overs.

The onigiri here is amazing. The miso glaze is perfect, with my favorite being the sweet potato onion. Staff are kind but occasionally stressed & they show it. The pot stickers are probably my favorite thing on the menu!

My favorite restaurant in Eugene! They have the best onigiri I’ve ever had. Love the spicy pork plate and their tahini dressing is amazing!

Quick eats from a quick place. The price is unreal. The taste is fine A usual spot for my nephew. He likes to take me here. I see many people ordering to go. It is a limited seating outdoor Japanese Street Food vibe. Cool. I will always be back. The folks who run the place and work here are diamonds in the rough.

My fiancé and I were on our way to another food place in this plaza when we saw the Ume Grill Onigiri House! Small place (it's kinda looks like a food stand, not a walk in restaurant) but There's a small sitting area (mayeb two tables) with a covering, I love how they hand so many different onigiri to choose from , and some work unique flavors. The workers were also such chill and nice guys. Though there wasn't a large amount of filling, each one tasted so yummy. My favorite was the spicy pork. Give this place a try if you're ever in Eugene!

Ume is by far my favorite place to go and is extremely affordable for such high quality food. The new location on 13th is fantastic and quick too! I hope more people check out this location :)
