“This unassuming, luridly-colored, old ice cream parlor has the best ice cream I’ve eaten in my many travels. They make their own, and it shows in the quality of the food. It also allows them to stock some unusual flavors, including a few Oregon classics that have been discontinued by every other manufacturer I know. As such, this place is a must-visit anytime I’m in the area. Try the white licorice.“
“If you find yourself in Florence and in great need of ice cream, quickly make your way to BJ’s. The shop itself is nothing to write home about - it reminded me of what ice cream parlors (or other small shops like this) looked like in the 1970’s. Nothing fancy - but good ice cream… and very friendly staffing!“
