We stopped by today (3/24) for a pastry. Honestly nothing looked that great or fresh but my son opted for a piece of coffee cake. I asked for it to be warmed up...so the woman working there (short red hair) put it in the microwave (still wrapped in plastic...gross but whatever). We take it to-go and my fiancé takes the first bite...a bite of mold that is. We take it back in and let the woman know there is mold and that we would like our money back. She apologizes and provides a refund. We ask how often pastries are made and she casually says "once a week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays". So there is mold on the coffee cake one or two days after being baked? She says "well we don't want to waste it!" After a closer look, we hear the woman tell her coworker that all the coffee cake in the case was 10 days old. Lesson learned: you can assume pastries individually wrapped in plastic are not fresh and if you do take the risk, inspect your food closely before eating!!! We ended up going to BJ's instead and the coffee cake was fresh and very good.

Try the Monte Cristo sandwich. It is not heavily battered, and not the traditional version I have tried previously. Thick homemade bread, delicious raspberry jam. They unfortunately forgot the powdered sugar. The Aphrodite salad was amazing. Cesar dressing went well with it, healthy portions of artichokes and olives. The festive King Cake was fun and delicious. Saving the brownies and snickerdoodle cookies for later. Nice homemade food. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Cozy small establishment, friendly and helpful, also prompt. I would recommend Bella Donna's if you are in Forest Grove.

Consistently yummy food. Her pastries look amazing. We had the pastrami sandwich and it was incredible. Sadly it was so good it wound up being consumed in the cab of our truck. One peek and we could not stop.Ambience is super cute and they have a cozy outdoor eating area.Rumor on the street is they offer several GF options, even crepes. We had brunch on another visit and it was delicious.Dinner looks amazing, we will try that next.In the heart of historic downtown Forest Grove.

My partner and I ate here for dinner and it was an absolute delight. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Be sure to check out the specials menu, and SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! The sweets are absolutely to die for. Be warned! If you are both gluten AND dairy free you might have a difficult time finding a dessert you can eat.

Outstanding! Great experience all around. Ordered the Calpine and Italian club, both made fresh to order and were excellent. I highly recommend.

Our goal today was to find a new place for brunch/lunch and we just happened to stumble upon Bella Donna’s. It’s a quaint, cozy little restaurant that includes a couple of tables (with heat lamps) outside. The service was great and the food was unique and delicious!

The "prawns" wrapped in bacon were so overcooked and tough they were literally barely chewable (something I'd never run across before). "Prawns" were actually smallish shrimp. Stuffed mushrooms sat in some thin, brownish liquid, making them soggy and unpalatable. The chocolate cake was a spendy disappointment for a not-so-generous portion: The "mousse" filling was dry, almost chalky; the cheesecake portion was oddly super eggy tasting. One grace note: the cake's two small chocolate rosettes were delectable (unfortunately just a small fraction of the desert). As this was takeout, I’d called promptly, that same day. It wasn't until several detailed messages and several weeks later that someone finally returned the calls. The refund we were promised weeks ago has not come through as of today -- more than two months after our initial call. However, after yet another call today, the owner promised a refund – again – stating she could not remember our previous call. At one point she mentioned that we were "out nothing." Actually, even if the refund does finally come through, we were out the pleasure of a good meal we had excitedly looked forward to . We had travelled a good ways and waited a good amount on site to get our meal. We were out 8 or 9 calls and not a little time or aggravation trying to get a fair resolution. Rinse, Repeat. Rinse, Repeat. Time is money, too.
