Everything at Carson's is always amazing. Food, Atmosphere and Service are top notch. If you have not been there then you need to make time to go. Carson and his staff make you feel like you are their personal friend and go way above to make the experience great. This is our favorite place in town hands down.

I just happened to see this restaurant mentioned when I was looking for a lunch place online. With all the great reviews, we wanted to try it for dinner. The first time we called, we tried to make a reservation for that Saturday (it was only a day or two beforehand) and they were already full. So we made it for the following Saturday night. First of all, this is a pretty small space, but they have done an amazing job with the ambiance (even the restroom). Interesting and different decor, quite cosy and makes it seem more private. It wasn't noisy, like some other restaurants in the area that have the same type of space, despite being quite full by the time we were there for a little while. Service was excellent. If you are expecting food to come out quickly, you may be disappointed. Everything is made fresh, and it is well worth a short wait. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, so we had no complaints. My husband had the beef tenderloin, which came with cremini mushroom duxelles, mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the pork tenderloin, which came topped with apple and leeks, mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. Both came with a slice of rosemary bread that had an incredibly tender and light crumb, with a perfect crispy, chewy crust. I don't know if they make it in house, but it is wonderful. Everything was perfectly well prepared and delicious. Both meats were incredibly tender. Portions were the perfect size to not be too dreadfully stuffed at the end and still have room for the delightful desserts. Husband chose the carrot cake for dessert and declared it excellent. I had a delightful lemon curd tart with raspberries and chantilly cream. It was truly delicious and the perfect ending. The young woman that brought it had cut it into 4 triangle wedges, so hubs got a portion, too. I was not sorry that I didn't have a creme brulee, which is something I would normally not pass up. We both think this is probably even better than our other favorite Grants Pass restaurant. The atmosphere is certainly quieter and more relaxing. We will definitely be back to try more of their delicious food. So glad I came across this little gem.

Ok Grants Pass. Your not going to find a better place. First of all the ambiance is top notch. You already know you'll have a great experience. Then the service will lock that thought in. Jessica is the cutest and best waitress I've experienced in awhile. Service was prompt, courteous and never ending. Both owners greeted us and talk about the food. Heck they even let us take home a crème brûlée simply asking us to bring the dish back. That brings me to the food. Chicken pot pie was to die for. Seriously the best. I also had the tomato leak soup. My partner had the 7hour brisket. Fork tender. We will be back for the meatloaf and ribeye.

Last night, January 12, 2024 they had a beautiful wine and food pairing dinner. My husband and I had a really great time. Everybody catered to us in such a friendly manner and the food and the atmosphere was perfect —money well spent.

Everything at Carson's is made from scratch. The food is so delicious. You can tell that a lot of hard work went into preparing it. The service is always excellent. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. The food is not only delicious, but the ambiance of the restaurant is excellent as well.

Had a great Grilled Cheese sandwich with Chipotle Chicken soup (daily special) for dinner last night, my friend having the Steelhead. We each had a glass of wine along with dinner. Very enjoyable!The food and service at Carson’s is always excellent, even with a humble soup and sandwich. The atmosphere is quiet, making conversations easy.Reservations are highly recommended as this is a small, but popular bistro.

I eat here often with my partner, this is an excellent resturaunt with perfectly cooked salmon. The fresh well prepared vegetables are most delicious and still have a nice crisp. Love the cream ale on tap, hard to find in most local bars. The chantilly cream is so creamy and light on sugar, sometimes better than the dessert itself. The pear pastry tart was the best dessert we have had here. Garlic mash is the best mashed potato in town. Everything is fresh and Jessica's service is always polite and just the right balance of attentiveness. The owners are very friendly hard working people who prepare a well balanced meal. The atmosphere is calming and the music relaxing. The bathroom smells great and is always clean with cute feminine decor. I truly love the low lighting after a long day or week. Great for date nites, anniversary, and birthday dinners... or just a night we don't want to cook. Carson will come out and deliver the food he has prepared on occasions when they are not too busy. I love that the chef checks to ask how everything tasted and assuredly if you ever have a critique they do not take it personal but adjust to satisfy. I am a hard to please foodie and would highly recommend trying this when you are in town!Vegetarian options: I am not vegitarian but most soups salads and a few dinner options I have seen are fully vegetarian with an option to add meat.Dietary restrictions: I am onion intollerant and allergic to specific items and ask for low salt and they always accomadate or check to let me know if there is onion or leeks before the order goes in.

First time trying Carson’s Bistro and I’m so happy I chose it for my 10th wedding anniversary. Delicious food and lovely service. I had the brisket and hubby had the meatloaf and we both had peanut butter pie for dessert. We’re definitely planning on going back to try other items!!!
Absolutely loved our first time here! The atmosphere is so gorgeous - inviting, simply romantic and surprisingly intimate. The staff was amazing and attentive, the dishes were incredible and we have just fallen in love with how well thought out everything is. Everything down to the finishing touches on the dishes was perfect! Before we even had our food we were already planning our next dinner here so we could try something different. Thank you for creating such a gem of a restaurant here in our little town!
Had my Birthday party here. Food was fabulous, as always. The menu is superb and the specials are well thought out and delicious. Our server was so friendly and attentive with some great suggestions. The entire party had such a wonderful time and enjoyed the generous portions and creative desserts they offered.
