There is no food cart called Kuya Fred's at NW Burnside and SE 202nd Ave. Been twice to try it and never seen it. If it moved, someone needs to update the location, and if it's a duplicate now, it needs to be merged with whatever the correct listing is now.

I've ordered here 3 times now, trying something new each time. I hope it gets better than the time before but it just doesn't. The sinigang flavor is really good, but there's barely any soup in it and the vegetable in it is Brussel sprouts. Who puts Brussels sprouts in sinigang?! The palabok was way too fishy which is odd because it was served with the tiny shrimp that have no flavor at all. The only good thing that I'll actually come back here for is the lumpia, but let's face it, no one can mess up lumpia. I gave it 3 stars because they're at least really nice and authentic.

The chicken teriyaki was good, but the rice was very very mushy. The customer service was outstanding and the karaoke ladies were awesome! The owner and manager and servers were very welcoming. Will definitely return, but please improve the rice and then this place will be absolutely perfect!

Absolutely love this place! Food is fresh and authentic my go to is the pancit bihon. Also every Friday and Saturday they have live kareokee from 5-8pm! Super fun and sweet staff!

Portions are small and overpriced. This is how our Halo Halo showed up. Food is cooked well, but for two meals and two drinks to be almost 50 dollars with a tiny amount of food is asking a lot in comparison to what you could get elsewhere.

Three stars because of horrible service. The food is really good. But save yourself and just get it to go. They do not know how to run a restaurant. Four tables and our food took over 40 minutes to come to the table. That was after waiting 20 minutes to place our order. We ordered one main dish and two appetizers. The main dish came first and the appetizers came much later. The drinks were horrible. So stay clear of those. Get a beer or water. Or again just get it to go because the food is very good. I understand that new restaurants are a work in progress but wow. Too bad because they can cook.

I’ve always had the pork adobo combo plate, it’s damn close to my mom’s adobo.Went there last week but it seems like they moved back to Gresham, but opened a restaurant. No more lunch stops ☹️

Pretty disappointing to have a Filipino food truck in our neighborhood and not want to go to it again. Here’s why:- for $14 bucks I got Bicol Express and a tiny side of rice. Filipinos love rice and so to get a side of tiny rice is like blasphemy.- the white guy serving (not Kuya Fred) didn’t even know how to say the name of the food he prepared. “Bicol” not “Bykol”. Fred, you have to train your workers better and please, don’t skimp on the rice!!- the Bicol Express was salty (too much shrimp paste and not enough coconut milk). I mean come on man, that’s the whole point! And it was way too spicy and not having enough rice to offset the spicy and salty was kinda torturous.I’m really disappointed.

When I first came to Portland, I tried looking for Filipino restaurants in Portland. When I ordered from Kuya Fred's Cuisine for the first time I finally enjoyed authentic Filipino Hawaiian fusion. His specialty the Lechon Kawali, is one of the best and crispy lechon I've ever had. I highly recommend coming here again.

Bad customer service. The cook did not wear his mask while cooking the food either. The food itself taste like leftover from the day before. Rice was crunchy and dry. The crispy pork belly was not crispy, it seemed like the cook threw it in the oil to reheat. It was soggy and oily. The blood soup barely had anything in it. By far, this is the worst filipino food cart I had. Not going back!

Kuya Fred did 3 catering plates (1 which wasn’t even on the menu) and gave us free Leche Flan. One day before we needed it. Picked up within 1 ring, and made sure we were taken care of. Place on burnside was clean and the young man at the register was friendly and quick. Beef Calderetta, chop suey, pork adobo, and leche flan was amazing. Give them a try!

I come to this unique restaurant from time to time as I like the special atmosphere that is characterizes this place. The team is exceptionally welcoming and skilfull. The service is extremely rapid. Not to mention, the food you get is good. I visited more than once and I was always pleased. The expense is honest. I highly suggest this place to to everybody.

I'm Filipina, never again. That's all I can say. For the price of it, I can make this without spending the price they charge. Also, it's fine if they charge a lot, at least cover the bottom of my plate.... feel like it's a kids meal

Sinigang had no broth. Lechon Kawali was overcooked and the sauce was basically sugar with all the consistency of Pacific Northwest mud. I'm I should have known better when I was the only customer. Spare yourself this experience

Man this place is so good. I’m from Hawaii where we love all types of food. This place reminds me of Hawaii suck good flavor and tradition taste. If you see one of these trucks go try it. This place is worth the stop.
