The Portland classic. Thirty years ago, in the time before the green empire wrenched control of the coffee world from the independent coffee houses there was Coffee People. Higher quality, more creative with a distinct Portland vibe it was the iconic third space until it succumbed to the corporate powers from Seattle. Jim & Patty's never disappoints. Look up the history of Jim & Patty's and you'll appreciate some PNW coffee history. Pig Newtons are like kolaches so they're great. A lot of creative lattes on the menu. We're here once or twice a month. Should have a higher rating than 3 stars

Friendly service, drinks and food served promptly, drinks are delicious. Something has changed recently with their breakfast sandwich making. They're thrown together with ingredients piled in the middle leaving the majority of the bread hard and dry. It hasn't always been this way but the last two sandwiches within the recent months have been a bit disappointing. I'll still come for the coffees and support the local business.
