The fish and chips were hands down the best I've ever had – crispy, golden perfection with tender flaky fish inside. The bartender was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our experience was top-notch. And let's not forget the excellent selection of beers that perfectly complemented the meal. Without a doubt, I'll be returning to this gem of a pub. “Mattie's Pancake House is a longstanding breakfast and lunch diner located in Brookings, Oregon. Year after year they keep offering the same great food and amazing service we've all come to know and love. They have a big menu. I love their Eggs Benedict & Florentine, and they have great hashbrowns and omelettes and biscuits & gravy and a whole lot more.Been going to Mattie's since I was a kid. I recall how my older brother's dad, Pat, used to hand me a $50 bill and send me walking over to Mattie's to pick up his breakfast. He'd always let me keep the change. That was my first delivery job...Now I own and operate a delivery service here in town (Hurry In Curry). Every time I deliver from Mattie's I think about Pat, and how he was my first delivery customer back in day, before I ever dreamt of owning a business...“

“We stopped here on our perimeter cycling tour at the recommendation of our motel. Traci was an amazing server and helped us with the special and popular dishes. We got the chicken and spinach panninis and they were cooked to crispy perfection. We also ordered the amazing crispy garlic fries. We'll smell like them for days till it works out of our systems but they taste so good it is worth it. The salad was just right! We would definitely come back. again! PS Traci was so personable and friendly. She and Sandy made our night!“

“Amazing food, the owner Mr. Berry was so extremely kind and works right next to his staff with a smile on, helping bus tables and helping customers. You’d never know he was the owner if you hadn’t met him personally because he leads his team by example. You can feel how close everyone is there and how well taken care of his customers are. Wonderful food is such an understatement it’s almost a disservice, if you come to Brookings this is a place you can’t miss.“

“Love this place, we had been regular customers a few years back and are glad to be living right next to their location in Harbor, Or. The pizzas are really fresh, prices are fair and you get your money's worth. Great staff, very well-trained and efficient. Pizzas only take about 20 during normal business hours and they bake on the spot if you want. I can't say enough about their food quality, just the best. We have been there 3 times since we returned to the area a couple weeks ago. Keep up the good work guys and gals, your concept deserves a bigger location and maybe more than one. “The fish tacos were so tasty! Their house-made pico is a perfect note to the grilled fish. You heard that right, grilled, not deep fried. Paired with a cold Corona? Hell yes. Great combo They have two dining rooms a small bar and outside seating. Friendly staff from the hostess to the bus persons. Food arrived pretty quickly for a Friday night. Will be back“

“Oxenfrē Public House in Brookings, Oregon is easily the best and nicest bar in Brookings (which is funny because when they took it over it was an old, seedy dive bar upon which they worked wonders and miracles).Oxenfrē has a great drink menu and they are super mindful to details. The Ox hearkens to the bygone days of the Prohibition Era speakeasy. It's a moody, hip establishment, open only in the evenings "'til late," with regular, live-entertainment via local and non-local bands. Yes, they have a stage. Also pool tables. And great food! It's a small menu, but absolutely worth your time!
