Food was great. I am unable to eat certain foods and asked for those items to not be plated. I was told that despite paying full price they would not do “ala carte”. That is not what ala carte means. Tried to phrase it in a different way, saying that I was trying to prevent food waste and save them money. To no avail…everything had to plated apparently. Makes no sense. Most likely will not be back.

We went here for dinner on Friday night and amazingly got seated right away. I was so happy to see that they actually make their own salsa instead of canned or bagged salsa from pantry. Homemade tortilla chips were also delicious. Then the food came and being someone that makes authentic Mexican for my husband and family I’m always so under impressed when we go to Mexican restaurants. I LOVE AMELIAS. This place is as close to home cooking as I can get when it comes to eating out at a restaurant. The food trucks are close too but when it’s cold outside you don’t wanna sit outside. Anyways the service was great, the food was just yummy and the prices were fantastic we will be going back and we’ve been telling everybody how good it was. Highly recommend. We had the creamy salsa verde enchiladas, street tacos and carne asada. Everything was delicious.

I don't know what weird stuff is going on with the recent reviews, but WOW this is a great place to get delicious Mexican food in Hillsboro. The quality of the food (beans, rice, salsa, drinks, mains) is superb. Serious attention to detail and flavor. The service is super friendly and I was pleasantly surprised with how affordable dinner and drinks were. Any place with fresh cocktails for under $10 is a winner in my book. I enjoyed reading over the original menu, and our dinner was superb without breaking the bank.

Incredible food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. One of the best restaurants in town. The portions here are big, and they have a monster burrito I’ve never been able to finish in one sitting. Delicious food, high quality ingredients, and always fresh. Great spot to check out for lunch or dinner. Nice place to take a date as well.

Wow! My partner and I both loved, loved it here! Both of our cocktails were mixed well and the service was excellent. I ordered a Mayan dish of marinated pork and tons of herbs, which was truly spectacular. My only quibble: although the salsa was good, the chips were stale. Overall, highly recommended!

The waitress who served us was upset because when I arrived I asked her if I could sit at a table that was empty and she told me No because they were cleaning, and she sat me somewhere else and then her way of treating me and my family was unacceptable. , I wanted to leave but my wife and children were very hungry, and what do they think the food was not good to finish, and apart from that the waitress served other people first and who had arrived after my family, I do not recommend it, the food Bad and lousy service.
We lived in Guadalajara for three years and miss really good Mexican food. Amelia's has it! First time to eat there today. Tried the mole and the pozole, and they were great! We've been driving by for years but had never stopped. Thanks to the Hillsboro City News for their downtown places to eat and shop insert!! We'll be exploring more.Parking: There is a small fee-free lot behind the restaurant.

Food was mediocre at best. Drinks were pretty good but pricing was NOT transparent. Margaritas are listed for $10, but was shocked when wewere charged $16 for a small and $25 for a large. I'm not a fan of feeling like I wasted money like this place left me feeling. I won't be returning.

Food was great. Margaritas are way over priced. 25.00 for a mango jalapeno Margarita with el jimador is outrageous !!!!
Amazing, as always. Highly recommended!
