6 Best Beer Bars near Hillsboro

BDSM Brewing Company Bar • $$
2256 SE Oak Crest Dr, Hillsboro

“I have been wanting to check out this brewery for quite awhile and it did not disappoint. It's in a refurbished garage in a residential area. It is a really cool fun welcoming space and the owners could not be nicer. They have a really small brew system but their beers tastes so clean. They only had the porter ( and a hard seltzer that my gluten Free sister loved as well) on today but it was one of the best English style porters I have had in year. This honestly was one of the best experiences, I have had at a brewery for a long time and it was nice to take some cans home. Looking forward to coming back and trying some more brews.“

“Didn't get a chance to try the food as I ate dinner at another establishment in town. But had to come by to have a beer. What a great beer list and selection. Since it is fresh hop season tons of fresh hops on tap. A few sours and the normal beer menu. Great bartender and really fun atmosphere.“

“We came for the crispy chicken wings - and were not disappointed! The beer selection is also very good, though very heavy on the IPA and Pale Ale side of the spectrum (as everywhere in the PDX metro these days). There were also lagers, brown ales, porters, and a few sour options and cider options. There was even a CBD non-alcohol option. The atmosphere is brought down a little bit by all the hard surfaces amplifying the sound level. There's a single bartender (Nathan poured our beers and took our food order), so they stay busy.My wife and I tried the salt & pepper with veggies wings - think pepper salted squid, but with chicken instead. We chose bone-in, which we prefer - but boneless 'wings' are also available. We also tried the Dragon Dust dry rub and the Thai dry rub (it had bits of fresh cilantro). Everything was delicious. We made immediate plans to come back the following week, and bring friends! The only downside is that the kitchen shuts down at 9 PM (even on a Friday night!), so don't expect late night snacking.“

Wildwood Taphouse Bar • $
9345 NE Windsor St, Hillsboro

“Both Wildwood locations (Hillsboro and Beaverton) have become my favorite neighborhood tap houses. The beer selections are thoughtful, varied and change frequently. And their beer tenders are super friendly and know their stuff. Both places were built out in all wood by the owners, offer cozy seating, and are dog friendly. They sell snacks at the bar, carry an assortment of cans and bottles, and they're fine if you bring in your own food. They also stay open later than many local places.Definitely a go-to place.“

“My handsome husband and I absolutely ADORE this new find for us. I’ve lived in Aloha 20+ years and this place is exactly what I want in a neighborhood hangout, but have never seen until tonight. First thing in the door we were greeted, welcomed, told about the menu and invited to sit wherever we liked! Talk about feeling welcomed and immediate hospitality! The atmosphere was also fantastic—subdued and relaxing with agreeable lighting. But the cocktails were ABSOLUTELY EPIC! We had our socks knocked off by the flavor and variety of the cocktails, and then the presentation was just so incredibly appealing to boot! Fresh herbs (rosemary) in one drink, dried herbs (lavender) in another made the drinks delicious AND visually stunning to behold. Prices were very reasonable, so we will be coming back again and again to sample absolutely everything! 10/10 and we’ll be singing the praises of The 649 to absolutely everybody we know!“

“Fantastic selection of craft beer, cider, wine and an eclectic selection of food (paninis, salads, shareables). The service is always great and the place is very clean. They've come in clutch a few times when the other restaurants in town have chosen to close their kitchens early.“
