Something has happened to this location. It's always empty, the blinds are either broken or very poorly maintained, the soda machine is out of order, there's a huge hole in the ceiling that looks like it came from water damage, the cooler for beverages is mostly empty, the pictures frames on the walls are all dented, the bathroom is not a place I'd return to, and it seems like the food itself is just reheated for a few minutes on the grill before it gets served up. What the hell happened? It used to be a decent place to get teriyaki.

The food is really good. IF you can get it. Their site says the Tanasbourne location is open on Saturday so we went there. There was a big pink OPEN sign on the door but the door was locked and all the chairs were upside down on the tables. Yeah. Not open. Also NOT CLOSE to my house. So pretty much it’s closed on the weekend and thats the only time I can drive there. It would be great IF THEY COULD UPDATE THEIR BUSINESS HOURS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE.

The food tasted like it had been leftover from days and warmed up. The pork was not edible.

I used to frequently get take-out from the NE Portland location and was psyched when they opened a Westside location. Unfortunately, it's NOT THE SAME, though. Maybe it's because the NE Sandy location is a complete madhouse 95% of the time, you can depend on your food being fresh and beverages being available? Today, when I was finishing my errands, I stopped by to grab some lunch and was somewhat puzzled by the absolute lack of life inside, like, "Is there anyone here???" The soda machine is out of order, and the drink cooler had a few random cans of no one's favorite soda. No normal Coke or Pepsi. There was this eerie ghost town feeling, like they've totally given up. Seems contradictory when they have massive posters hung everywhere bragging they are the BEST Korean BBQ in Portland, possibly the universe. Right now, Korean BBQ is the rage, people have lots to choose from, and this certainly doesn't qualify as "BEST". I would never go back to the Westside Du's, but hopefully the NE location has maintained its integrity....

Would leave zero stars but google wouldn’t let me double check what they charge you because if they think you’re distracted they will try to get over charge I’ve purchased there a lot of times and never had this happen and yes it was intentional as soon as I walked through the door she knew why I was there and couldn’t even look me in the eyes

Large portions made fresh with good flavors. Would definitely come back.

I love this place !! But sadly it has gone down the hill. I went with family the other night both workers were on their phones sitting down didn’t smell good or was inviting when we got our food it was good except the chicken was inedible it was hard smelled old and tasted sour and tough. I was greatly disappointed. I think maybe bad day not sure but don’t waste your money going during the evening or mid day!! Best chance is when they open. I wish I could get money back and try another day but this day was very bad.

Dirty tables, okay food, poor service ...won't visit again despite its close proximity to me.

I was really excited to try this place, but I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the chicken and beef plate. The beef was dry, the chicken was juicy, but both lacked some flavor. The rice was cooked nicely. The salad lettuce wasn't as fresh as I'd like, but the dressing made up for it. Fast and easy counter service.

First thing you will notice when you get to DU's is how many magazine cutouts they have from being featured in local papers. Typical teriyaki menu. Chicken and beef were both excellent and while the prices are comparable to any other teriyaki place you could find the portions are massive. Overall I would call it an above average teriyaki restaurant... not sure if it's the greatest teriyaki I've ever had but you can't go wrong here. Will definitely be back in the future.

Still bangin' that cleaver! Used to go to the one on Sandy, way back in the day. The one here is good, too.

WTH happened to this place!!! It got worse than last time. I went there yesterday during dinner ordered the spicy chicken and the Beef Yakisoba noodles. The spicy chicken was dry and grainy. The beef Yakisoba burnt flavor and the noodles way undercooked. My kids did not eat it because it tasted nasty and my kids love noodles. I waited almost 30 minutes for a reheat? Such a disappointment. Ended up throwing all three of the orders away. Such a waste of about $40. Then diarrhea 30 minutes later... PLEASE do not precook the chicken (who knows how long the chicken is sitting in the metal container) then recook it. That is just pure laziness and kills the quality of the food. It is no different that eating leftovers. When it is busy I can understand but when it is a ghost town at least make it "fresh" (meaning a raw piece of chicken on the grill).

I really want to like this place. The salad is amazing with the dressing. The teriyaki sauce is also flavorful. However, i continue to get burnt chicken. The first time I thought it wasn’t a big deal, it happens. The second time though, the chicken was very dry and burnt. Unfortunately it was not edible. I will change my review once this gets corrected, but for the time being I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

Oredered 4 plates 45 worth had to wait more than 30 min when i got the food it was cold no teryaki some nasty mayo sauce all over the salad makinh it soggy by the time wegot home they would not switch out the salad for 1 scoop of white rice overall taste was gross i wasted money in my opinion you can get way better for same price if not cheaper . Plus they were rude and not wearing gloves or masks while handling food

Best yaki I’ve had, maybe ever. It was so much food too! My boyfriend and I were both starving and we have enough leftovers to both eat it again tomorrow— what more could you ask for than not having to make lunch?? Also the salad dressing was top notch, 10/10.
