I’m pretty sure that any of these reviews that are bad about this place actually have not even a slight clue about true authentic Hawaiian food.I can assure you that Hawaiian Kine BBQ is EXACTLY the same as anything that you’ll eat on Maui. I know this because I lived there for 10 years.These folks know what they’re doing and the food makes me homesick every time I go there. Trust me if you want a real taste of Hawaii, eat here.Everything about this place is exactly how it is on Maui. Especially the Mac salad.So unless you’re a picky haole, you’ll love this place.
Very inexpensive the service is amazing. I come here all the time and I rarely spend $10+ on my order and i'm filled every time. The staff is so kind and always quick to serve you, I recommend it to everyone. The food is amazing and honestly if I plan on eating here I am always waiting all day to finally get here. My mouth was watering thinking about it and when I got home. It was so delicious I 'm so glad I was able to stop by before you closed tonight period thank you for your wonderful food

I had the Garlic chicken. I would not order it again! There was way to much sauce so the rice was saturated. The sauce did not taste like garlic at all. The Macaroni was good but not the best Hawaiian mac I have eaten. The dining area was gross, it needs an upgrade. I won't be going back here.

This place is disgusting! Don't waste your time or money. The food is gross, the Mac salad has an old, foul, fish raste to it & the meat tastes like its just dunked in smoke flavoring. The seating area is filthy, droppings of food are all around the floor. The tables feel sticky like they're never sanitized & the area where you get your drinks has dried spashes of soda all around. Layers of dirt & grease line the ceiling & fixtures. It's just a nasty joint that shouldn't be allowed to serve food to people. The staff is unfriendly as well, no warm greeting or attempt to explain menu options when asked. Very dry & responses with simple ya and pointing. Not to mention the price for the poor quality of food is unreasonable. I could go on but this should get my point across!!

Food was OKAY. It took FOREVER to get my food after ordering. I was disappointed to find the chicken very dry, and rather tasteless. I really wanted to like the food, but it just wasn't my thing. To be honest I'm not sure how there are so many high reviews. The staff was friendly though. I haven't been back since.
I've eaten at pretty much every Hawaiian BBQ place in a 30-mile radius and this one is hands down the best. Their chicken katsu is perfectly fried and crispy, their potstickers have crunch, their teriyaki sauce is one of the best, and most especially, their mac salad is perfectly balanced with the rest of the meal. For me, Hawaiian BBQ is about how the mac salad works with the rest of the meal and this place does it right.
Amazing since the first time I found it almost a year ago. Have been back multiple times when in the area because work. (Have been tempted to make a weekend out of it(i live in Washington) just to drive by this place with the wife)I have an annual inspection that happens down the road from this place, and I always make some time for the kine. Will be coming back every time I'm in the area for the foreseeable future.
