My family and I were super hungry and didn't want to make dishes. We had just got a few groceries at Fred Meyer and saw this little restaurant around the corner. The atmosphere was clean and lovely, the food was so good and authentic, and the family was kind and helpful. Both my young kids devoured their meals. There are these chicken wrap things, I don't remember what they were called, but they were awesome! The owner's son was there and even took the initiative to put on a movie for my kids. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food, amazing service! The food is worth the price & it was so tasty! Have been looking for a good shawarma wrap in the PDX area for a while now and glad we stopped by Monte Gyro today! We didn't get one of our wraps and we were pretty far from the place before we noticed. We called and they told us they will make it for us when we are headed back that way. We picked it up and it was still freshly made! Amazing service. Thank you for a great experience

Hi foodies, today's food adventure to me to Monte Gyro. This is a fairly new Middle Easter restaurant, and what a great find. It doesn't look like much when you first walk in, but you can't judge a book by it cover. The food was amazing and the service was warm friendly and inviting .The Kitchen Fairy and I shared a lamb gyro a falafel sandwich and hummus. Everything was amazing especially the falafel. It was light crispy and looked to be home made. Some of the very best and I've eaten falafel all over the world. We finished off our meal with Turkish coffee and home made pastries. This is truly a family run family friendly place. If you like middle Eastern/Mediterranean food please give them a try, I am totally confident you will be glad you did. Till next time remember to fuel your heart and soul with a great meal, and as always, remember to be happy, be mindful and be the best you.Vegetarian options: Falafel, babaganush, stuffed grape leafs, hummus, salad.Parking: Lots of parking in the shopping center by the Cornelius pass Fred Meyer.Kid-friendliness: Good food options and family friendly.

Anytime I see a cashier with rubber gloves on I cringe. Because 9 times out of 10 they are going to prep your food after handling money. Monte Gyro was one of the 9. If they could fix this issue, I might try them again. Food looked fresh and appealing, but I just couldn't get past those dirty hands.

Came here after being recommended by a nearby business owner. I ordered a spicy lamb gyro and a side of Greek fries. The lamb Gyro was 4/5 stars (it was a good sized portion and decent taste, but it wasn't spicy). The only reason for taking a star away is the lamb was lacking a bit of flavor (compared to some of the places I've had a lamb Gyro before). Now the fries were a solid 2/5. Hardly any sauce or feta cheese. Plus the fries themselves were not that good and priced way to high for what they were. I couldn't finish them and I love me some fries. To the owner / manager, you make a decent Gyro. Just step up your fry game and I think you will get 4-5 stars all day long!! The female cashier was nice and repeated back my order to make sure she got it right. The cook (or maybe manager/owner) thanked me for coming as I left

From the moment you step into Monte Gyro, you're transported into a world where flavors reign supreme and every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and culinary excellence. Nestled in the corner of Fred Meyers in Hillsboro, this Iraqi gyro restaurant stands as a testament to the rich, diverse tapestry of Middle Eastern cuisine. The ambiance of Monte Gyro strikes a perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, with decor that reflects the rich heritage of Iraq. The staff welcomes you with the warmth and hospitality that the region is known for, making you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrive. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the gyros. Each gyro is a masterpiece, crafted with the finest ingredients and an attention to detail that is second to none. The meat, succulent and perfectly seasoned, is paired with fresh, crisp vegetables and wrapped in a soft, warm pita that melts in your mouth. But the gyros are just the beginning. This place is a hidden in Hillsboro , Incredible Mediterranean food, I can’t even begin to describe the tastes of the food here. The kitchen is run by Iraqi chefs Ahmad and his wife Widyan , which makes every bite authentic. Definitely THE BEST Middle Eastern food I’ve eaten outside of the middle east. The service was outstanding, from the initial moment we entered until we left, the employees’ were very attentive. Doesn’t get much better than incredible food and great service. I will recommend this place to everyone! The desserts were so good, we couldn’t stop eating. Five start all the way around.
