My husband ordered a birthday cake from CGC…not just any cake…I requested a Black Forest Cake…memories from my childhood. Oh dear me! This triple layered chocolate cake was the best cake I have ever tasted. From the moist cake, tart cherries filled between the layers of cakes, and the lightest melt in your mouth whipped cream frosting! Plus, artfully decorated with chocolate shavings. Amy went above and beyond to accommodate my request. Her creativity to bake a cake that is not on her menu is a great example of her baking knowledge and skills.If her cakes are an indication of her products, can you imagine what her cupcakes, scones, and cookies would taste like? Yum! I will definitely buy all my cakes from Columbia Gorge Chocolates. Oh, we are ordering cupcakes for Christmas dessert! Can’t wait!

HIGHLY recommend Columbia Gorge Chocolates if you are having your wedding in The Gorge (+ support local always!).We had an unfortunate last minute cancellation with our previous baker and desperately were looking for another one a month before our wedding. With wishful thinking, we reached out to Columbia Gorge Chocolates and we are SO glad we did.Amy at Columbia Gorge Chocolates was extremely helpful and was able to fit us in her schedule. She was so inviting, caring and flexible to work with (even with our last minute inquiry). She was an absolute pleasure to work with!In result, our cake turned out BEAUTIFUL. A simple white with florals, 3-tiered cake (3 different flavors including chocolate, vanilla & raspberry lemon poppyseed - YUM!) along with delicious donuts on the side with the BEST seasonal glazes.THANK YOU AMY for saving the day and for executing the cake of our dreams for our magical wedding day at Gorge Crest Vineyards. We tried a handful of places around Hood River before settling on CGC for our wedding; they were our favorite! They had a delicious flavor selection to choose from and offered a tasting selection with decorations/frosting of our choice. They were easy to work with and very communicative. Our guests loved the cake so much we had none left over! We would highly recommend going with CGC.

I was so sad that there wasn't any leftover after our reception (I heard our guests were going back for big second pieces, lol). Amy is easy to work with, professional and her prices are competitive.
