Delicious sangria! You can choose whether you want to sit inside or outside. You have a great view of the river. The waitress was even nice enough to turn on the ice hockey game we wanted to watch. Would definitely come back!

Service was abysmal. Due to a private event they were understaffed and suddenly posted they were closing at 8pm.

Bad experience unfortunately. They treated my husband, a brown man, very rudely and extremely condescendingly around an order they added to our bill by mistake. And me, a white person, they treated really well. Super disappointing.

Ferment is a fantastic brew pub located in Hood River! The outdoor seating area is the highlight, offering a cozy vibe and fantastic views. The beer is great and the food is pretty tasty! We shared a giant pretzel that was delicious, served with wasabi mustard and a whipped brown butter.Sometimes they have a window open where you can order drinks. This time around, the window was closed and we needed to head inside to order. If you do not sit inside and choose your own seat, you will need to order at the counter. You will also need to bus your own tables. Can’t wait to go back!Parking: Parking can get a little hairy, especially on nice sunny days
Had the Falafel burger with GF bun and the cider on tap. Pretty dang good! It need some sort of sauce though... a yogurt or Taziki sauce. I added ketchup to help, but felt weird putting ketchup on falafel. Always enjoy coming here.Dietary restrictions: GF bun available. No GF beer. Menu says GF options but wasn't guided much past that

This place is huge and a nifty layout, more stairs than expected though for sure. I had the Reuben and it was solid and also had the fermented sampler and they definitely know what they are doing. Good stuff, would go again.

Did a spontaneous trip to Hood River and asked some friends where to stop. Multiple people recommended Ferment and man did it not disappoint.First of all, the (huge) building is gorgeous. The view of the gorge and Hood River is awesome. Even on a rainy PNW day, the outdoor section was lovely to bring the dogs and have a beer. A good portion of the patio is covered and there’s even a couple mini yurts with tables inside.Service was super nice and helpful. The beer selection was fantastic. I’m not gonna lie, when I was handed the chicken sandwich, I didn’t have high expectations. It was so flavorful and had the perfect crispy/juicy ratio. My partner loved her veggie burger.Absolutely will be back
