Absolute trash of a company. You sell Groupons that have expiration dates but then you also close for entire season so people can't actually use them? Absolute scum.

I bought a Groupon and it said 10 flight with complementary glass to take home. And your favorite 16 ounce pint. They said they did not have the glass to take home, so it was misleading in the Groupon. Also, the address was incorrect. It was a completely different location, and Not in downtown Hood River. The only ambience was not that great, it was next to the road. But on a good note, the servers were wonderful and accommodating. They gave me a small growler with our favorite take home cider. I think we liked one out of the 10.

We arrived at the distillery right after a duck flew into our SUV. Scared us to pieces and we were ready for some drinks. We took the suggestions from the bar staff. But then we also got a pretzel. I'm not sure if it was the duck-shock, or maybe I was hungrier than I thought...but that warm pretzel with cheese and mustard was truly the best thing I've tasted in a long time. The ciders were perfect to wash it down with. Yummers. Just as we started to get pretty comfortable, a man walked in and asked to join us. Turns out it was Mr. Fox himself. If you ever see him, snag him and make him sit with you. He provided us with so much amazing history and stories of the happenings around the area. A super friendly, down-to-earth, intelligent, entertaining person. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here with Mr. Fox and loved his black lab. This is one place on my list to return to!!

We really enjoy trying different hard ciders, so we made sure to stop here while visiting some other places along the "fruit loop." They have a small tasting room inside, along with tables & chairs out on their front patio. The patio is right off the parking lot and they are near the busy road, so you'll probably be listening to cars whizzing by, but if it's a nice day it's still enjoyable to sit out there. We shared a flight of 5 ciders out on the patio. Their ciders were good, with a few interesting flavors like lemon basil and melon. They are located in the same parking lot as Smiley's farm stand so you can pop over there easily as well.

Personally, I love Fox Tail cider. Their peach (Fuzzy Haven) got me into cider several years ago when all I'd tried was Angry Orchards.Today, I finally made it in to their tasting room. I got a full flight of 10 ciders. We loved almost all of them. The Fuzzy Haven (peach), Go-Pucker (mango/lemon), Melon B-lander (melon/basil), and Painless Pineapple (...pineapple) were our favs!We brought a few games with us (although they have games there!!!) and settled in to sip and relax.10/10 will go again!

Server was very nice. However the ciders are very yeasty with a funky taste. Our group tried all of them. If this was your first cider tasting, you would never try cider again.

Visited Fox Tail Cider & Distillery on a Saturday early afternoon with a group of five as part of the Hood River Fruit Loop. The Distillery is right off of the loops main road and features a gravel parking lot with ample space.Per its name, the distillery is known for its ciders and its fruit distilled spirits. Our group opted for one flight of cider, and one flight of spirits. For the spirits, we got two fruit vodkas, a gin, and an apple brandy. All four had a nice fruit essence on the nose. The vodkas tasted as you would expect and the gin had a semi sweet, lightly herbaceous taste. My favorite was the apple brandy which was sweeter with a more discernible apple taste. I did not drink too much of the ciders, but the others at the table expressed that they did enjoy them. They were light and not overly sweet, which is a plus for me, as I feel many ciders are too sweet. There was only one gentleman working behind the bar who was kind and executed our orders within a few minutes.

I really loved some of the ciders offered. The staff were a bit aloof and not entirely clear in their explanations of my questions. I did end up buying the butter cider which is delicious.

Really great cider. Wonderful to have so many options on the drier side. And Mo was awesome at making suggestions.
