Sad this place is closing. This kind of food is hard to find in this area. I hope someone steps in and buys it or something. It will be missed!!

They have gone downhill since they reopened they were a 5 star before and now pita bread is doughy and hard to chew, meat seemed to be cut different. I will no longer recommend this restaurant

The hummus is amazing the beef lamb euro is amazing the Greek salad is good. The chicken gyro is odd, Indian spices. The taziki was a little thick and under lemon juiced. The falafel was downright gritty and full of greenery. The claim to fame here, the amazing thing that they do, is the pita!!! Fresh homemade and delicious.

Covid conscious, beautiful outdoor seating, friendly staff, and fast. I got the jumbo beef & lamb gyro, it had pickles (unusual yet delicious to me) and FRENCH FRIES on it. It seems pricy but it's definitely enough for two.Excellent experience with excellent food.

Delicious beyond compare. A simple beef and lamb gyro is enough for two meals, they're huge. I always eat about half and save the other half for later or the next day. Tastes just as good the next day as it does fresh. There's are many gyro places closer to my apartment than this one, and I choose to drive through downtown from south salem all the way here. It's that bomb and I wouldn't go to any other gyro place. A must try.

While hanging out in Salem we decided to grab a quick bite. I'm a gyro fanatic. I've tried them in Greece, Amsterdam, London, Chicago, Seattle, Portland just to name a few places and now Salem. Each area has its own version of good and bad. The same way you never put ketchen up on a hot dog theory in Chicago. This one was a little different since it was heavy on the lettuce and lite on the meat. I'm not a big tomato fan, but did not have to worry because it didn't come with tomatoes on it . The Tzatziki sauce was ok and used plentiful. The pita bread was thicker than most places but was decent. The sandwich was worth trying again. Make sure to take your handi wipes for the tables, they were not the cleanest. overall, I would give this another shot before taking it off the try list. The hunt continues.

Recently stopped by and ordered the beef and lamb gyro, Greek fries, and side of pita. We ordered by phone just in case. The gyro was my fav, generously filled with meat, flavorful, and freshly made. Could have fed two people easily. Glad they are generous with the meat. Some places fill with extras vs. meat, which annoys me!Glad this place is still around even through covid. I wish you a long and fruitful business. Keep up the great fresh yummy, high quality cuisine!!

The quality of this food is average. I hate to say it, but this is not what a good greek food tastes like. I know that the standard is low in Salem because there is nothing here. The chicken kabobs were cooked well, but are overly salty, with what tasted like seasoned salt. The marinade does not taste authentic. I don't recall that being a flavor on any of the Greek restaurants that I have eaten at in the past In many other cities. The pita bread is very thick and doughy, slightly on the raw side. The gyro meat is not very well done, and there are some monster chunks where it is usually served thinly sliced. The salad has ranch dressing, which is bizarre since there is such thing as Greek vinaigrette. The rice was actually pretty authentic. I feel bad to be a food snob about it, but when charging this much I felt the need to give some honest feedback.

Food was delicious, but the aftereffect was very bad throughout the night. I do not like the idea of that new woman worker in the restaurant from yesterday the 19th of March. Initially, I thought it was from cannabis products but I reused each of them individually and there were no reoccurrence of my symptoms, so I concluded it was from the food through the new employee. I miss the bigger and authentic GREEK young woman who was there at the cashier machine before this new woman I saw yesterday when I was there with my mother. She didn't eat.I love the food, would go again always as ever, but if I saw that woman again, I'm stepping back out and coming back another day!!

Service was great IN PERSON.... kinda get rushed over the phone.Chicken kabob dinner plate... salad was good, thats ALL!Placed our ordered over the phone and requested no hummus but extra pita bread instead. ( we definitely got extra bread plus hummus)Food was cold, Most of the Pita bread edges were hard. Chicken and rice tasted like its been out for awhile and kept in a warmer. We ended up getting sick to our stomachs and stomach ache afterwards for the rest of the night. Not sure if it was the sauce that they put on the chicken kabobs or the entire food in general. But NEVER AGAIN..Not worth it! Not worth the money..Too bad, food looked good in the reviews. Chicken tasted good a lil burnt but good, too bad it was cold and somewhat dry.

Worst Gyro I've ever had and then on top of that my pita bread was dough. First and last time visiting here. So sad, was really looking forward to this place!

Gyro Stop has some of the most delicious food and they make some amazing desserts as well! They have friendly staff and the best thing about this cuisine, is that it's quick to make (not to be confused with fast-food however). If you are looking for a great alternative to your usual lunch, then come to Gyro Stop, then make sure to save their number in your phone

I am a hummus addict. I have had many different kinds from all over but none are as smooth and full of flavor as the hummus here. Some places over garlic or over spice their hummus but this place nails it. It has this deep rich red oil on top that blends into the hummus that takes this stuff to the next level. It's good enough to eat with a spoon but they do have pita bread that is incredible, fresh-made , and just enough blackened toasty part in the center. So combing the cold, smooth hummus with the giant round warm pita bread is pure heaven. The restaurant is super clean. Great place to grab lunch once dining in is back. The staff are hard working and friendly.

Food is great but you’ll be lucky if they ever have anything when you go in. Multiple times I have made the drive from my place in Mt. Angle just to be told they are out of a specific product, something that wouldn’t be expected on a Saturday afternoon. When they do have the food it’s delicious but I’ve been burned too many times and wasted too much gas to give them my business anymore

Good food, flavors were great!
