I grew up on Gubanc's and was pleasantly surprised to see that 25 years after I left the area its charm and outstanding food still remain. As always the soup was delicious. I was elated to see that the soup board was still on the menu. The interior of the place looked basically unchanged, yet didn't feel old or dingy. Now that Stanfords is gone I'lldefinitely be making this a regular stop when I'm in town.

The food was really good. We shared the chicken thighs with sweet potato and the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Both dishes tasted great. The atmosphere was also nice. The service was subpar at best. We waited 25 minutes to get the bill.

The food is always spot on and this is definitely a restaurant to frequent! The BLT with a slab of fried Monterey Jack is to die for. I am not a fan of forced gratuity in the form of a "service charge". The servers tend to congregate around the bar and chit chat rather than checking on tables. I sat in the lounge and waited over 10 minutes having to flag my server down mid-conversation with the bartender for a water refill. This makes the "service charge" a harder pill to swallow.

Great food and service. Good music and great bar. I was in town for work and the grilled tuna melt hit the spot. Not to mention the cup of vegetable chili that was served first. Loved it.

Place is fine just not for that price range. The short rib pasta is $24 and it tasted like a simple roast beef. Happy hour was decent though. Food is definitely overpriced by a lot for the quality they served. They should be in the $15-20 range not $25-30
