There’s a lot to like about this place. It’s unlike any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. Love the decor and vibe inside. The tacos were quite good, but not great. The presentation was artful, and the drinks were tasty and creative. Servers were friendly, but nothing above average.My only real complaint is the guacamole appetizer. We got less than 1.5 cups of average tasting guacamole, a half cup of salsa, and some chips for $14. I couldn’t believe the price: should’ve been at least twice as much guacamole for that price. I got about the same amount of chips and salsa as a side order for only four dollars. That was much more reasonable.So I guess it was good enough for me to come back sometime, but I’m not ordering the guacamole.

Waitress brought over our check soon after we got our food and kept checking if we put our credit card down, suggesting she wanted us to go. I checked other customers and she wasn’t doing the same to them. As the only Asians in the restaurant, it felt like racism. Hurry up and get out so we can get more white customers.

We are regulars here--almost once a week. Hard to go wrong- this place is trendy (decor and people), modern, the food is FANTASTIC; couple of issues with service, but they have some long tenured servers and bartenders that do a FANTASTIC job.Won't go wrong here.

For some folks who value being seen and seeing new things then these folks will probably like Jefe. For those who want great food at a great price, those will probably not return to Jefe. And there will be others who want to drink ridiculous drinks from a ridiculously large bar, and they will probably think Jefe is just that kind of place.As for me, I am happy that my boss paid the bill and I had some chips & salsa, a small but decent steak, accompanied by an iced tea with lemon. Including tip, I would guess my boss paid $50 for my meal, and I was admittedly still a little hungry.A good memory and I appreciated not having to pay the bill.

Seven of us met-up for dinner after work (6pm). It was so crowded we were constantly being squished into other people as they tried to get into the restaurant because the hostess area is tiny. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, but the gals were so sweet!! When we finally did get a table, everything was wonderful. Parking in the front is not good (not many spaces and tiny slots - you'll be door-dinged for sure). I parked waaaay in the back and walked, which is fine except I'm injured right now so it was excruciating. I'd go again, but not on a Friday night! ❤

I loved the chips, salsa, and fundido my friend had the chili hurt steak it looked amazing.however the razor clams were a disappointment. Overly breaded and very tough considering they claimed they were fresh.I will come back to try other dishes.
