Because of heavy traffic, we didn't arrive at our reservation time, but the hostess managed to seat us without too much delay. Our waitress was friendly & attentive, each entrée was delicious. We will return!

Our meal was good quality, and we enjoy meeting up with our friends when we visit Portland. But, my husband and I both received promotional emails about a special pink cocktail that was being done for a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the email said the ORIGINAL Stanford's, which is where we were eating - the one on Kruse Way. Yet, our server checked with the bar and they said there was no such thing. That goes down as a FAIL for your alleged promotion.

I was charged for food not received... the wait person was new and didn't want to make her feel bad .friend ordered seafood combo ant was all potatoes and awful ... I've never felt need to write a review but guys it was really bad

Food mediocre. Steak had to be sent back because undercooked. Way too much mashed potatoes and congealed sauce on the seafood trio. Only two tiny scallop, three small shrimp, and a small piece of salmon. But our server was very sweet.

We drove an hour (two hour round trip) for a special birthday dinner for my husband only to find a CLOSED restaurant. I double checked the website, and sure enough they were SUPPOSED to be open. I have email and text confirmations for our dinner reservation...that should NOT have happened. We won't be back.

We weren't acknowledged by anyone up front for quite a awhile. Then it took the waiter quite awhile to acknowledge us. We were a group of ten so hard to miss us. Once the waiter came the food and service was fine.

Reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse. On Google it is listed as a seafood restaurant, it is no more a seafood place than a Texas Roadhouse. That being said, quality of their food is better. The place has a good atmosphere and the staff are friendly.

Our third time in over the past few years with similar experience. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted. Told there was only 10 min to order food. Drink was wrong. Got that straightened out. Unable to get a second drink because bar closed even though others were being served food. Was told we couldn’t eat outside because it was closed outside even though people were eating outside. When I discussed tgd situation with waitress and said I would write the corporate office about my concerns she said that they were short staffed, no manager for awhile. I said I noticed they weren’t busy. She said to “go for it.” The only good side was that the food was decent but not worth the snarling attitudes.

We expected a vanilla chain experience -- but this restaurant didn't even meet these minimal expectations. Staff was very inexperienced and unfamiliar with their own menu and the food was very sub-par. We typically stay across the street from Stanfords every year for an annual event. Can't say we'll ever be tempted to go back.

Never again. Had Kayla as a waitress. The first 7 minutes was amazing. After that, Kayla got a new table. She never came back. I had to go to the bar to get my "regular" coke swapped to the diet I ordered (Type 1 diabetic) and get my husband a water. The beer he ordered , when we sat down, didn't come by the time the food did. The food came and everything was bland (minus the potatoes). Kids running around with no supervision. For over $100 for 2 people, we shouldn't only see our waitress when waiting to ask for the bill. I've worked at Landrys in corporate Pay roll....Tillman would be furious.Never again will I even think about it.Beyond disappointed.
Great atmosphere. Peaceful but not stifling or restrictive. Excellent service. Only issue would be coleslaw served on a warm plate wasn't quite appealing. Went on a gift card and was pleasantly surprised at the general atmosphere and quality. I feel bad as funding didn't allow me to tip what I would have liked so we will definitely return to make amends and enjoy some of the other items on the menu.

Our server was excellent!! The food just mediocre. I had the seafood plate: shrimp was excellent; scallops were okay; the salmon was over cooked & tough. The mashed potatoes were cold & not very good.

Many very good dinners here in past. This time, disappointed menu decreased in entree selections. Scallops on tri seafood entree we're close to raw. Had the same entree previously and scallops were then perfect along with salmon and shrimp. Asked for vegetables substitute for mashed potatoes, green beans w peas served and not good. However my husband shared his brussel sprouts which were excellent. The good part is the Top Sirloin steaks were excellent. Prepared perfectly and excellent taste. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive and efficient. Caesar salad very good. Key lime pie delightful, Crème Brûlée was just ok and smaller than expected. We made reservations for 7 pm and were surprised we were only guests in our entire section. Only 2 other tables in restaurant appeared to be filled by 9 pm. Probably won't be back. Disappointing because was one of our favorites for many years.

Always gone to Stanford's for special occasions but now may be rethinking our other choices. The food is/was good however the service was nonexistent. It was over 20 minutes before our waiter, I think his name was Rory, acknowledged us and we asked for water. When our order was taken there was no mention of the kitchen closing soon. About 45 minutes later our waiter said “normally this is when I would offer you dessert but the kitchen is closed so I'll just leave this (check) right her” and walked off. Very disappointed in his customer service.
Michaelea was a fantastic server! Hopefully I've spelled her name correctly. She was perfectly friendly and let us dine and converse. She was there right when we needed her. She did not ask us how our meal was while our mouths were full. I can't tell you how much we appreciated that. She asked us once we paused in eating and we're either going to box up or order desert. Perfect. The chicken fingers and fries were perfect for lunch, so light and crispy. My guest was from out of town and they want to go back on their next trip!
