I went there for an impromptu daddy-daughter date. I ordered general tso chicken, she ordered pork fried rice, we had potsticker appetizer. The chicken in the General Tso didn't have the texture of chicken. It was almost like tofu, it just felt cheap and gross, I didn't eat much of it. The sauce was different than usual which is fine, it's good to try new things, but even right it is the lurched the general tso had zero crunch, which is why i like it so much. The fried rice was fine except again, the meat was nasty and resembled tofu more than meat. She thought it was fine I did not eat more than a couple bites and I picked around the "meat"The app was OK, seemed previously frozen, the edges were weird, but the filling tasted good enough that we ate them up.The service was VERY fast, despite the sign as you walk in reading we're low on staff please be patient. My expectations on speed were so low that I was happy with the speed. The service overall was very good and responsive. I liked the people, I really wished I had liked this place. We will never be back.Kid-friendliness: It is definitely kids friendly. Although I wouldn't knowingly serve this to my kids.

Someone purchased Szechuan Kitchen for a group dinner and it was very good. I especially loved the green beans (great flavor and perfectly cooked) but the General Tso & Sweet & Sour were extremely good as well. Look forward to trying more dishes ...especially their hot pot.

Service is absolutely horrible and has not changed in many years. I simply cannot believe this restaurant is still running. When we went in 2018, the waitress (Asian, short black hair (bob cut), thick framed glasses) gave us the wrong dish. When we told her, she spoke to us in a very condescending tone and insisted that it was the right order. We were pretty sure it was wrong, so she essentially gaslighted us and we were left eating a dish we did not want. Recently, we decided to eat there again because we were in the area with other friends. Towards the end of our meal, the same waitress noticed that we were low on rice, and asked us if we wanted more. We said yes and she came back with one small box (~1 cup) of rice to take home. When the receipt came, we saw a charge of $6 for rice. I complained to her at the counter since I thought the rice was free and came with the meal. She said that the $6 was for the extra rice we asked for. I was furious, because 1) she OFFERED the rice to us and 2) she charged $6 for a TINY box of rice. There was a lot of back and forth. I said that if there was a charge, she should have told us when she offered to give us more rice, and that every other Chinese restaurant I go to serves rice for free. She kept speaking very rudely and said that “we always charge for extra rice”. I then told her I wanted to return the unopened box of rice and she said no. I was pretty much done with her and went back to my table. A few minutes later, she came to me and said “it’s my bosses fault, I had to charge you for the rice since he saw me take it. Otherwise, I would have given it to you for free”. I just reiterated again that she should have told us that the extra rice she offered would have been $6. We were a big group of 6 and spent more than $100. sure she lied about her boss because she is the restaurant’s owner. I’ve read the other negative reviews and I can’t believe this woman continues to behave this way after so many years.

Food is just okay, but the person at the front is not only rude, but completely mean. So mean she almost made my older mom cry. I will never step foot the place again. If you hate people as much as she does, maybe she should find another

It's true you get what you pay for. Best Chinese food in area. Check out the treasure tray, it's an appetizer, usually comes to table on fire. Everything is al carte (dinner wise)

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!I ordered and paid for $120 worth of food. My son went to pick it up. When he got home with it, we looked and the order was very very wrong. Items were in there that I didn’t order and items that I did order weren’t in there. Items I ordered were there but were wrong. When I called, the woman was so incredibly rude to me I couldn’t believe it. I am still having trouble processing it. She was so rude! I told her I was bringing it all back. She said I should call DoorDash and they will refund it. I said I just wanted the food I ordered, and I didn’t understand why DoorDash should have to take a loss when they didn’t do anything wrong. When I arrived with all the food I had paid for and received, she had a bag with the items that were wrong and the items that I was missing all ready to go when I got there. She was magically able to fix the problems even though on the phone she acted like she didn’t even do anything wrong. It’s not about mistakes. I make mistakes. But the way I was treated, and spoken to and disrespected was truly ridiculous. Why couldn’t she just say I’m so sorry, we will have the right items when you get here. At least that way my family could have eaten. But no. So very rude. I have recommend this restaurant for years. It is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the greater region. Never again. I cannot ever imagine spending one more penny there. I cannot remember the last time I was treated so horribly by a company/person who had made a mistake. Truly awful.

We ordered Kungpao Tofu and Lamb yesterday. The lamb was artificial not real meat. The tofu was expired, tasted real bad that I had to vomit. I have been to lots of Chinese restaurants in Portland this is by far the worst one. Don’t go unless you wanna diarrhea.

I really have a penchant for this Lake Oswego staple Chinese food. Their egg flower soup and spring rolls have not been topped by any other Chinese food I have ever had. I do think they are quite pricey however!
