Safeway Bakery

Safeway in Lebanon, Oregon is clean, inviting, and well stocked. Customer service here is wonderful and the cashier's always volunteer to pack my own bags with groceries, but I usually do it myself. Great selection of products and I appreciate how they label "locally grown" or "locally sourced" items. Gas station is a bonus, as not all Safeway's have one.

My daughter wanted a chocolate or strawberry cake for her 40th birthday. Tim (who is not the cake decorator) helped us out by adding three strawberries that he halved, and a bit of strawberry glaze to a chocolate cake. He was so pleasant, and his willingness to help? Above and beyond!!! I would rank his customer service a 15 out of 1 to 10. By the way, my daughter loved the cake. Thank you!

This is no longer the Safeway from the glory days of the 80s & 90s. The "gems" of customer service are few and far between. During the last few visits, I just don't see the store neat, clean, or appealing. There are a couple of speedy and efficient checkers. The young man at the deli made two very good sandwiches for brunch, but it sure took a long time, because the deli was not prepared to serve customer. I'm also no longer able to eat the Chinese food here without getting ill....read full review
