They sell my favorite Marachal Foch, and have the most amazing selection of varieties.

My daughter recently got married at Chateau Lorane,I must say even though the wedding itself and all of the wonderful attendants pitched in and made this a very nice wedding. The lake and surrounding trees and plenty of parking makes for a very nice area to get married. The tired not kept up venue is a very sad thing see deteriorate. At one time in it's prime it was such a wonderfully pretty venue. I had hoped that by the wedding date that perhaps some effort would have been put in, but by the date it was to late to even think about changing venues. The owner is a nice man one who smiles and is friendly and answers in the way you want to hear but unless you stay on it that is about where it stays. I think doing a one man show when your heart seems clearly not in it is sad.The owner provided wine at the venue per agreement, but he stalked the tip jar before guests arrived, he had no paid help. It was awkward expecting our guests to feel as though they needed to tip the owner. The venue was not inexpensive. He also had a female partner/friend/wife not sure hanging around the wine and beer serving area who was not helping, again awkward situation; we provided all alcohol except the wine. The wine pours seemed a little excessive, but it made going through bottles of wine faster which adds to cost. We left a lot of our own beverages so he was willing to not charge for the. wine. Again a bit awkward having to barter with the owner on what should have not been an issue. Some of the table legs for the event tables kept needing to be put back on, their were a lot of dead flys and webs in the event room along the open window seals. In addition; some walls were scuffed up with webs in corners. We had to ask to have a few chair seats cleaned and one particularly had a lot of dried black substance on chair. So clearly the seats had not been wiped down before the use.The kitchen was unbelievable, it had a lot of items around the room as well out back of the kitchen. The sinks had signs above them that said do not use. It's kind of hard to wash up and keep things clean when you're not allowed or provided water in a kitchen event area. The handy cap bathroom only worked if you held the handle down and all other bathrooms in mens and women restrooms did not work properly. The day before when he was told they didn't flush he said he had turned the water off but it would be on the next day. The restrooms did not operate well.We had to ask for the lawn area to be mowed and edged as it had not been done the day before the eventuate the rehersale. We were told it had rained so he wasn't planning on it; because the grass was wet or something like it rained a few days before the rehearsal. We were concerned for the liability of someone falling, by the wedding this had gotten done, but I don't think one should have to ask.The only dressing room for the attendants is small, it works but it is very hot in there it would have been nice to have some type of air flow. The owner leaves a lot during the event because he has a full plate and has no paid staff. Thank goodness my new son in law had his phone number to call him. It would have been nice to have someone available at all times.I wouldn't not recommend this place because it's surroundings are beautiful, and if you have a good bridal team that can make all the difference in the event once the wedding is over all of this doesn't really matter. However; If some of these things are of interest to you I would evaluate your needs and wants for the price.

They were racist to the people of color in my group. They also serve crackers but no cheese. Give me a break!

Extremely disrespectful. Asked me and my friends if we speak English, I assume it's because we are BIPOC. Also they serve ritz crackers and don't serve cheese. What winery doesn't serve cheese?

Good wine and knowledgeable staff. The property the winery is on is beautiful. Make this a stop if you are in the area.

If you have not tried their marechal Foch port you are missing out! I wish I’d bought more while there visiting! Hoping to go back and load up! Oh my gosh! There are no words to describe how good it is!

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of wine tasting. This was not our first time visiting, we’ve long lived the vineyard, and the wines offered. The owners, Mary and Lindy happened to stop by, and joined us for a while, making our afternoon even more delightful. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming, the views of the lake are spectacular, and the wine is phenomenal.

The trip up the gravel road is worth it. You can sit on a nice deck and look out at the tall pines and the lake below. There are more varieties of wine than I have ever seen.
