Best Mexican food I've had in Oregon. The refried beans had a charred/bbq flavor. Everything was hot and crispy and delicious. The cheese enchilada had the best cheese pull I've seen. Excellent price and dessert was included!Kid-friendliness: Their kids menu is pretty large and they give a mild salsa with chips for the kids.

In town for the evening and thought we would try El Primo. Kids had tacos and burritos, adults had Lucas burrito (shrimp, mushroom and onion) and enchilada cangrejo (crab, mushroom and onion). Had never tried those combinations and they were good!A well maintained restaurant, wooden tables, booths immaculately clean and polished.Staff were friendly and brought ice cream to everyone at the table (complimentary) after dinner.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available with generous portions

I wouldn't recommend this place is you were starving. Drinks are lacking alcohol, food was so bad I thought it was rotten, she said oh your the second person to say that tonight. She did get me something else. It was gross to. Couldn't/ wouldn't get us another drink, it was a horrible experience. First time. Last time.

It has been a few years since the last time my wife and I have been inside of this restaurant. After recommendation from a couple of friends, we decided to give it a second go when we walked inside the establishment had a brand new look to it. It looked fresh and clean, clear down to its bathroom. We went fairly early in the evening and late in the afternoon (3:30 pm) so they really wasn't a large rush of people there. And by this we could actually get a good feel for how good the food is coming out fresh we were greeted by a very nice lady, who quickly sat down, gave us some water chips and the common salsa. Now I need to take a moment and talk about this salsa. The salsa had so much flavor and it wasn't like the other salsas that you would get from Mazatlan or your general local, Mexican food restaurants. in my opinion, this is probably the best salsa that I've ever had from any Mexican restaurant hands-down we ordered our drinks just your typical run of the mill beer. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and I ordered the steak fajitas. These are probably the best tasting steak fajitas that I've had anywhere hands-down the tortillas were even handmade hand pressed the restaurant I strongly recommend going to El Primo in South McMinnville and giving it a try. The food, the service, the ambience, all wrapped up for a great place to eat !
