I was a fan of this place and i had visited several times prior to this most recent visit. The food was so salty and dry that it tasted nothing like my previous visits. It didn't even look the same. We just mentioned that it tasted different and the young female said “we don't have the ingredients because we’re moving locations.” If you don't have the ingredients why are you serving the dish? The father of the business wasn't there but the young guy was. We mentioned that it just wasn't per usual in taste. His attitude about it was “thanks for the feedback.” We did eat the food because we were hungry, and it was not great, but edible. We weren't expecting any compensation, but surprised by the lack of customer service. His attitude was like oh well, no apology. It’s a shame because I don't think the father would've handled it this way since I’ve spoken to him several times. For that they lost a good customer.

Lots of new stuff on the menu! Great choices. I had carnitas and my wife had chiliquillies. Both large portions and both excellent!

Before today, I was a fan of this place... Husband and I ate here for lunch and we will never return.I ordered the chicken fajitas, and after taking no more than 3 bites of chicken I found a hair in my food. As a female, my first thought was could it be mine? NOPE! 1st- looked nothing like my hair. 2nd- It was not laying on top of the food, it was tangled into the onions and chicken. I was grossed out and couldn't eat my lunch. My husband (who sends back nothing) picked up the hair to examine it, and disgusted threw it to the floor. We told our server (the OWNER) the situation. He claimed no one with "hair" works in the kitchen ? and made zero attempt to rectify the problem. I left over 75% of my food on the table there. He charged us Full price for both meals! We begrudgingly paid and made it clear we would never be back.Felt wronged... and hungry

Authentic food with incredible flavor. We sat outside in the cute Mexican ambience as Allen catered to our every request with a smile. Loved this personable, family owned restaurant. 10/10 awesome experience.

Always the best. Family owned as they never disappoint. Highly rated restaurant in Yamhill County let alone in McMinnville.

Our first time at Mezcal, but not our last. . We tried the Steak and Shrimp Fajitas, which were phenomenal. Will defiantly be back to work ourselves through the rest of their menu. The margaritas were lovely as well. Best Mexican I have had outside of Mexico. Highly recommend

Phenomenal food; utterly delicious! We had one waiter running the entire restaurant, too; more than a dozen tables. We never felt delayed or rushed, and his positive energy is something to strive for!

Authentic, family-run, home-style Mexican food with the most friendly staff I've ever had at a restaurant. Move aside Olive Garden, because when you're HERE, you're family. The staff will actively make an effort to make you feel heard and get to know you in the most authentic and genuine way. I have been to Mezcal Sabores de Mexico at least two or three times, and the service continues exceeding expectations. As for the food, it's the perfect kind of Mexican food you can ask for-- as if your neighbor whipped up one of their family recipes and gave you some. I highly recommend the Enchiladas Suizas as the queso fresco is so creamy and packs such a vivid punch. The Pollo a la Crema is also extremely worth another trip for. For a restaurant to be named after Mezcal, you'd be doing yourself a massive disservice if you did not order one of their Mezcal Margaritas (or a tequila-based one-- they're good too)! Don't let the price dissuade you, as these margaritas are plentiful, equipped with their very own refill cup (a la Red Robin's milkshakes). I can safely say that this is a Mexican restaurant that is well worth the stop anytime you're in McMinnville! I'll definitely be back.
