Literally a gorgeous business. The vibes are immaculate. The staff is always so sweet and kind. Everyone who works here cares so much about their products and their customers. The tea is AMAZING and the prices are fabulous. My favorite business in McMinnville.

After reading all these reviews, I just can't believe that people are this complacent and easily pleased. I am not impressed or fond of this tea shop at all. You get a very small amount of tea and the owner said," oh it goes a really long way" but that's not true. I only bought it last month and it's completely running out. It has not lasted that long . And the flavor has not been that impressive. I also don't like the fact that they use plastic bags for everything. Why can't you use paper? Brown paper bags would be so much better for the environment. Why would you not want to do that? I think it's because the girl that worked there she said that people just keep recycling those bags so I guess if people keep recycling the environmentally destructive plastic bags it gives the owner no incentive to go out of his way and purchase little brown paper bags that could be easily dissolved in the environment. Isn't it funny how people just don't care about the environment, you would think a tea shop would care. I recommend the perennial tea shop in Seattle Washington. This tea shop had amazing tea. It lasted forever. A little bit really did go along way and they used paper bags instead of plastic. It's a shame that I have to go that far to get tea but I can't see wasting money on small amounts that don't go very far.

Absolutely fantastical. It is always a treat when I get to come here. They have a vast amount of teas and beautiful little chocolates. I love to spend time here to just draw or read because the atmosphere is so calming. The staff are incredibly welcoming as well. A visit here always makes my day ❤️ I highly HIGHLY recommend chocolate chai and coconut cream, but really all the teas are quite nice.

Down steps just off of one of the busy streets is a quiet oasis. Teas and some sweet treats such as handmade truffles. Lavender lemonade was yummy and the stop was welcomed after a bit of shopping.

The best place to get highest quality tea. They have a wide selection of green/black/herbal teas and I even found Ayurveda teas. If you have a friend or family member that's into teas, there's a selection of teapots and cups available, from cute and whimsical to pro-tea drinker. The staff is fabulous, they take their time with each customer.
Loving my new Tealyra tea pot! It works on my gas stove, brews tea most excellently, washes up easily and it's so much prettier than my old one! Right now it's holding the last of a batch of Huckleberry Black tea. Thank you, Velvet Monkey for the a wonderful Valentine's Day gift from my sweetie!

I’m not a tea guy but after coming to the Velvet Monkey, I may become one. Great atmosphere, excellent tea varieties all over the wall to choose from, and incredible customer service. The owners are wonderful people. I left with several large bags of tea.

What a wonderful tea shop! Richard and Serengeti who own Velvet Monkey do a great job of stocking, organizing and suggesting teas to drink or bring home. They have an amazing selection of teaware, tea pots, and tea accessories. The atmosphere is very Zen and relaxing. Definitely get the chocolate truffles, they are to die for!

This is an absolutely amazing tea shop on the corner of 3rd street, i usually get there bubble tea but anything they make is always good. this is definitely one of my favorite places and I totally recommend it.
