The owner of the Sovana Inn across the street highly recommended this place. Said if we went they'd give us a 15% discount. I'm normally leery when businesses make these agreements but the fam was tired, it was close to the Inn, and we needed to eat and go to bed. I'm so glad that we stopped. First, it's beautiful inside. They quickly bring out super warm chips and an incredibly tasty, smoky salsa. Those two paired together have an absolutely addictive quality. The salsa had one of my favorite flavors ever. Between the two of us, we shared two Macho Fajitas. It came with chicken, steak, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Highly recommend. More than enough food for the four of us to share a total taste sensation. I liked eating the bacon wrapped shrimp separately and using the chicken, steak, and vegetables in my tortilla. Awesome meal. The employees were super attentive and polite as well. I'd give the place five stars but for one fatal flaw. You never do this at a restaurant. My beer came out room temperature. I don't think that bad boy ever saw a refrigerator. Straight from the case into my glass. My beer needs to be ice cold. I should be getting an ice cream headache as that one goes down. But, no way would I let that dissuade me from going. If you're in or even near Medford, make the stop.

Something that I'm very thankful for is that Medford actually had good Mexican food. So far, this place is my favorite. The service is fast, the atmosphere is cute, and the food is great! They have big margaritas that are a good price, and they give you bean dip WITH the salsa and chips while you wait. I have ordered the Pollo in El Crema, and I've had their enchiladas. Both were delicious!

This place is Awesome!! Greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door!! Super friendly hostess. Got seated right away. Service was excellent and oh so friendly!! Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa oh so yummy ( got seconds) Our food was served fast, fresh and hot. The waitress was on top of her game! Great service. Left full and oh so happy we found this place. Definitely will be back and so happy to support and recommend to ALL who want great Mexican food and service in one.

Service was very welcoming and attentive. Food arrived promptly. Food was plentiful - enough for 2 meals for many people. The decor, the food, the choices in dishes all very old school but still tasty and delicious. Prices were reasonable. Good stop for someone driving from Northern California to Portland. Recommended stop on a road trip.

It was decent Mexican food. They were out of modelo. I had the chili releno it was okay. My boyfriend had the seafood burrito I didn't think it was great but he really liked it. The prices were a little high for the food quality. The server was nice but not very attentive. 3/5, not bad- not the best

We were looking for a good place to eat after a long day in the car - El Arriero was close to our lodging and we went for it. It was a good choice to make and we all had a good dinner and various beverages. Staff was great and very friendly.

Our server was very friendly, spoke basic Spanish to us and was funny. My husband order the taco pescado (bbq pork) which needed something, a little more spice and it was a little too dry. I had the carnitas which also needed some spice but was very tender. Both dishes come with rice and beans.
