The food I’m sure would have been great if it wasn't for the fact that it was extremely salty. That is not good for my health so only had 2 bites of a expensive meal.wont go back.

We accidentally entered through the bar entrance of a sprawling restaurant, which turned out to be a serendipitous detour, which allowed us to take in the whole space. The bartender swiftly located our reservation on her tablet and escorted us to our table without fanfare. Our friendly server promptly arrived with menus and took our drink orders. Although my lavender drink was overly sweet, the server noticed and graciously offered to replace it. I opted to tweak the sweetness instead, she had the bartender add more soda water, which improved the balance and I thoroughly enjoyed it after the slight alteration. For appetizers, we tried the beignets, pleasantly crispy on the outside but disappointingly undercooked inside. The beet salad comprised of four slices of pickled beets, a dollop of ricotta, and a sprinkling of pistachios, lacking in flavor and freshness. My burger was satisfactory, cooked exactly how I asked, but unremarkable, I ended up only eating half. My companion's ribeye, though decent, failed to justify the outing. The veggies were bland. And I hate to say this, honestly, because I know the staff work hard. But, in Meford, at those prices, the food should be better. Despite this, the service stood out for its efficiency, warmth, and attentiveness, making a return visit solely for the service enticing. However, I was most disappointed by the lack of information about the ribeye's sourcing and the origin of the vegetables. What farms did any of the meat come from? Were the veggies organic? Was any of it locally sourced? Incorporating such details into the menu could enhance the dining experience, fostering a sense of community and deeper appreciation for the ingredients among patrons of Porterhouse.

Porters always delivers when in need of a special occasion meal. Tonight we had the Korean fried chicken, halibut and ribeye to celebrate a birthday and every item was delicious. The service is phenomenal and we were seated in a train booth, as requested on our reservation :) we will certainly be back soon!

The atmosphere is wonderful the servers were all very kind and attentive. The food however was a big let down especially for the price. First they removed their happy hour menu which was a bummer. And so instead they had a discount on some menu items. And even with the discount the food was overpriced for what quality and quantity it was. I ordered the beet salad for $14 and it was 5 slices pickled beets that seemed to be from a can. And had a small amount of ricotta that was flavorless. And a dusting of pistachios. I also ordered the scallops you receive 3 scallops for $24 and they peanut sauce bed they came on was soooo overpowering. The drink I ordered was good. That was about it. I recommend coming here for drinks only. Don’t waste your money.

The Lobster Ravioli and the Wagu steak were fantastic. We both liked the clam cowder. It was the best I've ever had too! The sweet potato fries were tasty too! It was a fun way to celebrate out 25th Valentines day. ?

This place was wonderful! Spendy, but wonderful. The food was amazing, the drinks were on point, and the waitress was perfect at her job (leaving us alone enough but checking in when appropriate). We enjoyed an anniversary dinner and didn't regret it one bit. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a special occasion spot.Parking: Easy and free private parking lot

The food was good, but we felt rushed and it was not that busy. I wish the dress code was a bit stricter. We wanted an elegant adult atmosphere. What we ended up with was children running up and down the isle, with parents who said nothing, nor did the servers. Our group left early, because we paid for elegance and were in a McDonald's nightmare.

This was a beautiful experience all the way around, as if we’d gone back in time to dine in an elegant train station reserved for the wealthy. Respect this lovely place and keep your jeans for other places.
