Food was AMAZING, the cook was fun and had great show cooking skills (even did an onion volcano effect with the fire for a 5yr old!). Though we came when it was busy, I wished they told us it would have taken about an hour before we would be able to order and eat. Even though we waited more than an hour, the experience as a whole was great, so I highly recommend eating here because the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!

The entire reason to eat here is the show but when your cook tells you he doesn’t know any tricks, it’s disappointing. He said he knew jokes but he talked to quietly, no one in my party could hear him. The chicken was over cooked and dry. The steak was tough and chewy and served in huge chunks without a knife. The entire meal felt extremely rushed. I’ll not eat there again, I can get teriyaki for way less than $100 at a bento place. Without a good show, this is just a restaurant serving bad food.

One of the cooks kept dragging me about ordering tofu, kept asking if I was from Ashland as a joke. And usually the cooks are nice about cooking the tofu separate from he meat out of courtesy, but this guy did not care. Just loved singling me out in front of everyone because I ordered the tofu. Very immature of him.Vegetarian options: Though, check your cook. Most are nice about you being vegetarian, but one just makes fun of you all night.

Terrible wait at table for service to start. The server only talked to the other party and felt he had his back to us. Other party was always offered the food first. Didn't like how they prepared each food category separately. Would rather eat my rice, veggies, and protein all together. Will not go back.
Had reservations and showed up on time but had to wait almost 1/2 hour to be seated. Good food, good service. A bit spendy.

Been going to Shoji's since I was just a kid & even through the owner change , price increase, and huge employee turnover it remains one of the last great restaurants in Southern Oregon. For the price you get so much food and it's really an experience for any special

Went to Shojis 2/16/24 with a large group. The manager brought appetizers to our table in error. We didn’t order them. A couple people in our group were in the bar ordering drinks because their service is terrible so the appetizers were set at those seats the rest of the group assumed they ordered them. When they came back to their seats she said we didn’t order those, the waitress said yes we made a mistake. We offered to give them back she said no keep them I have to toss them anyway. When we got the checks the MANAGER made the waitress leave them on the ticket and argued with us saying well you all are them. Unbelievable!!! I’ve been going there for 30 years and will not got back.

Robert was our chef and he absolutely amazing. Had great jokes and made us all laugh!Dietary restrictions: Our disabled person had an onion allergy and the chef was amazing at making sure she didn't get any at all!Kid-friendliness: Made great jokes appropriate for our teenagerWheelchair accessibility: We had a wheelchair person and forgot to let them know in advance. They were very accommodating
