Amazing service - joking with my kids, making us feel welcome, bringing our food incredibly fresh. Food a bit overly salty but other than that delicious. Will come back again!!

I was looking for a different spot to eat on a hot summer day when I remembered this place has more than just pho-they serve cool, crisp, refreshing food, too! We got salad rolls, the chicken satay skewers (always great, awesome sauce), and tried the Bun Dac Biet (marinated pork with shrimp, egg roll, vermicelli noodles) for the first time- and YUM! Really hit the spot today, felt satisfied and nourished and not heavy afterward. So now I know this is not only a great place for some tasty, comforting pho or Tom Ka soup on a wet, chilly day...it's also perfect for those days when it feels too hot to cook! Everytime I eat here I wonder why I don't come here more often! Maybe because it's tucked away in a little strip mall so it's easy to overlook (also the dine in atmosphere in just meh, but the family that runs it is always friendly and hospitable). But I'm always very pleased after eating here. I don't usually give 5 stars unless I'm fully amazed overall, so this is a solid B+ 4 stars for good value everyday great eatin.

We will eat at Pho Thap Ba again, given the chance. This out of the way restaurant served us excellent meals for lunch. Wide menu choices including both hot Pho and cold noodles.

Best pho in town, don't argue with me! The service is also great, I've never had an issue and everyone is super nice.

Strip mall pho place with Fluorescent fixtures and lousy chairs. They must know their d3cor is lousy, too, because their big picture windows are covered with automotive tint film. My companion had the green curry and that was ordered mild hut came to us moderately spicy but not intolerable hot. I found it delicious and adventuresome. My pho bowl was giant, or as pho bowls go, large. Piping hot and full of goodness. The manager kept coming around to ask how our meal was going. It will rest with the reader to form an opinion about that.

The best and most affordable bowl of pho in portland hands down ?

The gentleman who runs the shop is very friendly and likes to joke around with his customers - good reminder not to take life too seriously

The best Bun Dac Biet. Great food, authentic and delicious. Not big on atmosphere, you are here to eat some excellent Vietnamese food. The broth is amazing, quality great, and you'll be back as we do pretty much every other week.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant!! They have great food and service. Their menu is extensive with Vietnamese and Thai food. Delicious Pad Thai, pho, Tom yum, Tom kha, and more. Good prices, too.

Server had a really bad attitude. Congratulations sir, you're the reason why it's my first time walking out of a restaurant based on service.

Literally the best pho spot in Milwaukie and even the Greater Portland area. Recommending the chicken soup, and brisket pho choices!

Amazing pho, ~12 for a massive portion, easily enough for 2 possibly 3 veggies where fresh and beef was cooked well. Pad see ew was delicious, the noodles where tender but not mushy. Friendly and funny dude checked us out, 10/10 would recommend.

I have been a customer for over seven years and I’ve been a bad girl because I’ve never been compelled to give a review despite my amazing experiences until now.Let me start at the beginning. I moved to Milwaukie in 2016 with many years of pho behind my belt so I was delighted to find a place just down the street that provided that warm comforting dish. The first time I cried during pregnancy was when I was living in Coos Bay and realized there was no Pho to satisfy my craving! I love me some pho! This place is always run by the same family, and they always seem happy and passionate in what they do and provide for the community. The restaurant is always warm and clean, their service is always fast and helpful. I call in an order, I get it in the time specified. The Pho in every way I’ve ordered it (I like the pho with all the extra stuff, my family likes brisket and meatball) it’s always so good. Takeout, packed and always with every extra we need. Nothing is ever forgotten, even when they are very busy. But what prompted me to finally write a review was during the big power outage of 2022. This place had power and the restaurant was full. The phone was ringing off the hook. The staff was this lovely family I’ve always seen, busting their butts to deliver food to the needy community. I was able to bring my family this comforting tasty food and the amazing wings they have here — during a huge power outage! Somehow this place had power and they did so well under all that pressure. The whole community seemed to swarm in and get nourished. This place is such a gem in Milwaukie and honestly if I lived in deeper Portland I’d still come here because the food is that good and authentic. This place is a true blessing as well as the family who clearly works so hard to bring us such lovely food. I’ll always be a happy patron! Love this place!

I was supposed to make homemade egg rolls for a holiday party and alas time slipped away/I'm lazy so I called Pho Thap Ba to save me. They were able to accommodate a large order in a short amount of time. The worker taking my order had me dying from cracking funny jokes the entire call! I arrived shortly after and they had my order ready. They nicely packaged everything up for me and made sure they packaged it in a way for the egg rolls to stay hot and crispy. The restaurant itself was nice and clean too. The egg rolls were a hit so much so I couldn't keep people's grubby hands off of it before I could take a nice photo. So enjoy my mediocre photo! I'll definitely be back to try their other menu items!
