We love this place! The hot and sour soup is the best we have had. We go often enough that they recognize us and bring the soup out knowing we are going to order it.

They have authentic Orange Chicken! A lot of Chinese restaurants serve the Chicken and sauce separately to save money where you have to dip the chicken into the sauce. Not at Golden Taste! They actually take the time to cook the sauce INTO the chicken which is the way it should be done! Also their fried won ton is the best I had in a long time! Friendly staff and good atmosphere. This is my go to place from now on.
We have been coming to Golden Taste for a couple of years now, thru all the name changes and owners. Service has been friendly and welcoming, good food, good value and good prices. Have done dine-in and take out. Since November our experience has changed. Cooking style has changed. Customer service has changed. Their pork fried rice use to be great! Now is more like steamed rice with soy sauce for color and little else. Greasy batter, bland flavor, large amount of rice and Soooo much celery!!! Staff is not welcoming or friendly! Tried to order online last two times, says restaurant closed or system malfunction. Turns out, staff told me that they turn order system off if they are busy. Ok, get that, don't take more orders than the kitchen can handle. When customers comes in though, don't take phone orders over customers standing at counter to order. When customers come in to pick up orders, don't bark at them about why it took you so long to pick up food! Literally ordered food, drove 15 minutes to restaurant and staff verbally on me for letting food sit! Amount of food way down per order also. Chicken Broccoli had 3 pieces of chicken! Fair amount of broccoli but over powered by all the celery. Cashew Chicken had just a few bits of cashews sprinkled on top and that was it. They were busy when we were there last but just heads up that we feel current owner/staff has made changes that could affect your experience. Sad

I've been getting take-out here for 5 or so years through all their name changes. The food has always been about average Chinese restaurant quality, but the price point is below average, making it worth it. The flaw is the service. I've ordered the lunch special nearly every visit and for the past few years have received a free side with it. The menu has it clearly printed that the sides are "dine-in only" but I've been receiving them with take-out anyways. Last time I called in an order I was informed that the special doesn't include a side, I mentioned I've been receiving sides with my take-out, to which he gave an authoritative, stern, single word: "No!" As if disciplining a lying child. Not a "We aren't supposed to give a side but we can do it one last time." or even a "Sorry, whoever was including sides made a mistake." It was a one word verbal middle finger followed by "I'm not going to argue with you." I don't care about the side. But rude customer service makes me lose my appetite. I've never eaten inside but the tables and dining room always looked fine. On my previous pick-up the floor was very sticky. Average food, awful service, average dining room. I will not be returning.

Terrible food. Overpriced and very disgusting and greasy I spent over $100 on 3 entrees and it was awful. The food had no taste whatsoever and the rice was hard and cold. Would not recommend.

Got takeout and it was delicious! Chicken lo mein, general tsos, crab puffs and the steamed wontons. Everything was excellent. We live in Milwaukie and it’s worth the drive to get this again.
