“Ate here, solo, March 2024. Place was pretty busy. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful; nice people. The prevailing atmosphere is genteel sterility, the clientele mostly older women drinking cool wines (such as a white zinfandel or beaujolais). I had a milk stout and a Reuben with a side of bean salad. The stout was excellent. The Reuben was disappointing; two very dry slices of toast hosting a goodly helping of corned beef with a wee bit of sauerkraut and an even smaller bit of dressing. The ingredients were of high quality and I admit the chef is entirely within his rights to make a sterile dry Reuben, but I didn't care for it. I like my Reubens messy and saucy, with bits leaking out the sides and a solid need for napkins. This was more like an architectural drawing of a Reuben. The bean salad was similar; dry and sterile. No sauce, no spices, and not a drop of liquid. Would I come here again? Doubtful. I prefer my dinners extroverted, loud and messy, even a bit inconvenient. And there are many more restaurants still to try in Pendleton. But if you like a bit of white zinfandel during your book group meeting, the Great Pacific might be the perfect spot.“

“I was broke down on cabbage hill on 12/23/23 for approx 11hours and very hungry I called just about every delivery place in Pendleton and no one would come to me at no extra delivery fee. Except big John’s, Micheal A. Was a stellar upstanding and very courteous man. He was very empathetic and understanding and brought me a very delicious pie from them in his personal vehicle after he was off work. He is an asset to this business and the way he went out of his way to help me shows his character. He need a raise and promotion. His character show me he is going to excel in any direction he goes. “This particular store makes great pizza, but the newly remodeled customer area is a bit uninviting. I get that they don't want people hanging around, but there are only 2 short benches for people to sit at while their orders are being made.“
“We’ve been here more times than I can count when we come to Pendleton for business. Every time, the staff is awesome and the food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We love the specials so much and the cocktails are always on point. Our favorite place to eat in Pendleton!“
