I kid you not this was on par with gas station food. The fries were decent but the lamb gyro was absolutely tragic. I wouldn’t pay more than $5 for that meal (it was $16) even if I were starving. Cold, unseasoned, pitiful protein portioning, and no flavor at all.

I ordered the large meat platter today from Abbas and was very disappointed. I live near Chill n Fill and walk over to the food trucks regularly, but have only had a bite here and there when other people have gotten their food. I should have known as anyone who has selected it in the past has never finished it. The meat was not good. All of it seemed low quality and chewy, grisly, kinda made me grossed out to eat it. The sauces have okay flavor, but after spending $20 on a meal, I was very disappointed to have to toss most of the food. It was not hot and the pita was super thin and dry. I am not sure if these are homemade, but if they are not I would highly recommend changing suppliers. I know the owner has said his mother works the cart too and doesn't speak English well which is totally okay with me, but she also had an attitude with me asking a simple question. I almost said nevermind but was on a time crunch. I now wish I did because I am still hungry and out $20...

Unfortunately I will never eat here again. After placing my order I was told to return in 15 minutes to pick it up. I set my timer and returned (a few mins earlier actually) to be told by the same lady (owner I believe?) that someone had taken my order and I had to go into the bar (Chill N Fill) and find them to get my order back. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable doing this and she basically said I had no choice. So I walked through the many tables inside Chill N Fill and of course since Abbas is part of a food cart pod, there were many people with “to go” food cart bags. I didn’t see anyone with a fresh bag and honestly if I did, I didn’t really want to approach them and ask if they had the wrong order. I returned to Abbas and told the lady I couldn’t find anyone. She said she’d make my order again. The thing is that she had the other person’s order which included a mezze plate. Part of my order was a hummus plate and I was with a starving crowd so I asked if I could just have the leftover mezze in exchange for the hummus to start with. She said I had to pay $3 extra for it if I wanted it. Seriously? I had left a $5 + tip as well when I ordered. I said forget it I’ll just wait for the whole order to be remade. The food is actually delicious but given the other options and the lousy service, I’ll never eat there again.

The food was alright, they forgot my order until I got there and they didn’t have the drink or the dessert I ordered…they made up for it by give me a baklava…I hate baklava (this one was alright though)

ABBAS had the best baklava I've tried in Portland, it wasn't dry and was very full of honey. The chicken shawarma plate was good and came with rice, hummus and some yogurt.

I ordered a beef kabob plate. The kabob was moist and flavorful. The rice was well cooked and tasty! I always love the sauces that come with it! Will come back.

Ordered on Postmates and got the wrong order.. Received two wraps instead of the gyros we ordered. They were gross.. room temperature, filled with a mushy Greek salad and swimming in what seemed to be an attempt at ranch/tzatziki.. Not sure which. I'll be surprised if we don't get sick. Also charged for a side of garlic sauce which they didn't even bother to include in the bag.

I love this cart. Oh well, haters gonna h8. I'll drive across the city for one of their plates, they're so good! They consistently hook it up with the large portions, plus lots of sides. I typically order the Mixed Meat Plate. Come with chicken kebab, which is my fave. Get a baklava, too. Very tasty. A solid choice if you have a big appetite, like me lol

I ordered from Abba and got the rice lamb shawarma meal for $15.00 (pick-up). The lamb was overcooked and too much compared to the yellow rice which had little taste and was a bit dry too. They provided tzatziki which had little taste except for the yoghurt and chunks of cucumber and was watery. I’ve made it myself according to Indian cookbooks and if made right had it’s own taste with herbs. The hummus was someone watery too and did not have a distinctive taste. All in all it was a disappointment. Good Mediterranean food has distinctive tastes. Their food needs work.Parking: I parked early for dinner so the street parking may be busier later in the evening.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly too.Wheelchair accessibility: It flows into Chill & Fill and has outside and inside tables, pool tables, pinball machines and I think they are going to have music too. It’s very family friendly.

Lamb gyro a little disappointing. Undeniably tasty but the lamb didn’t feel like great quality - processed and very thin. Salad filling was nice, but no fries in there tzakiki or fresh tomato, it was just lettuce and cucumber. Very garlicky and salty. Satisfying, but underwhelming on flavour.
