It's a bummer. We've gone here on and off for years because we live in the neighborhood. Used to be a community staple. Now you order via the QR code at the table-- no service and the food is meh. We'll be at Red Sauce from now on.

My family and I came to Amalfi's recently for dinner. We ordered beverages, which were actually pretty good. But when our entrees came, they all arrived at different times, and I’m talking like 5 minutes apart, and we had to ask about the salad we ordered because it hadn’t been brought to our table. The food was so mediocre and the fact that we had to wait around for it was incredibly frustrating. The carbonara didn’t taste like carbonara.

I wish I had realized how close Amalfi’s is to me much earlier. Crazy tasty Italian food.I had the Chicken Parmesan - hot damn the garlic bread was good. The layers of cheese, sauce, and chicken was just what the Dr ordered. My wife had the Lasagna and loved it.Between our table we ordered what felt like most of the menu. Everyone enjoyed. The pizza looked great. They have it all.

Very disappointed with my dinner last night. Back in the 70's when we went there it was very authentic Italian food served fresh and home made like Italian food should be served. Last night the Raviolis were machine made like you would buy in the frozen food area in stores. Minestrone soup was like water down with very small amount of vegtables and noodles. Garlic bread was dry hardly toasted and had very little spread on it. The Cobb salad was swimming in dressing and the the lettuce was hard. All that was very over priced. Olive Garden is 100% better and for half the price, sorry but it was very disappointing, not the same anymore.

Dang not going to lie I really wanted to like this place but it's not it. Nothing wrong with the staff they were super amazing friendly etc the atmosphere was nice too I like to sit next to the warm fire but the food was just boring and taste like it came out of the freezer. If you're just going to hang out it's fine but if you want some good food go somewhere else. Also remove two stars after you see the price the price the price is horrible the price is the worst so expensive for what for nothing!

I did two star because the place is nice. But the server and food is bad. You enter nobody ask or tell you to sit. The food is just costco stuff. Nothing special. The antipasti no craker. It was american antipasti. (Pickles)? Everything taste premade. The calzones bread it wasn't cook.

I got married at Amalfi's 10 years ago. We love going back regularly and enjoying the amazing food and cocktails.Unfortunately we went back today and had a rough experience. It seemed too expensive to me for what we got. We don't love having no one to talk to until you get your drinks because you seat yourself and order your own food with a QR code. The service was pretty bad and the food and drinks we felt were too expensive. The food took forever to come out and we had to ask to take something off our bill (which was tough with no staff around) because it didn't come out until we were done with all our food and ready to go.The food was good as always and I'm sure the drinks would have been great but I didn't order one because they were too expensive. We'll be back because we have such a strong connection to it, but I'm concerned for them. :/

Beautiful on the inside, but the QR code ordering system was terrible, and the staff struggled. . It took over 1.5 hours to get most of our food. After 2 hours, we asked where our final lasagna, garlic bread, and beer were, the staff were like, "Oh yeah, they are in the queue. Sorry. Would you like them now?" (Us, "No.") "Oh, well, I guess we can refund those then. Thanks for coming." Doubt we'll be back any time soon.

My in-laws had their first date at Amalfi's in 1964. It seemed only fitting to have my Mother-in Laws celebration of life in a place they both loved. They have been loyal customers for all these years. Amalfi's has been a place for our entire family to celebrate special occasions. We chose to have it catered and had around 50 people. Michael-Gene and her staff were all amazing everything was perfectly timed. The food was excellent we have received several messages to say how everyone loved it. Kiauna the owner even stopped in to offer her condolences. I would not hesitate to have catering events here. Thank you Amalfi's for taking such good care of Norm and Kathy over the years. You made yesterday a very special memory for all of us who loved Kathy.

We've definitely had better vegetarian Italian food in PDX. Quantity was alright for sharing, definitely more than enough for 1 person. Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. It seemed to be a popular place for birthday celebrations. We had 4 other birthdays on that day. That being said- I'd recommend this place for someone trying it for the first time... we probably won't go back again.... Although the pizzas on the menu looked intriguing!! (Oh, none of us ordered pizzas.. so no reviews on that!) Here are all the vegetarian options we tried- Greek salad - was ok. I'd pass. Lasagna - ok.. better than manicotti Manicotti- hard pass! Cheesy garlic bread- dominos is better than this! So.. pass
