Fantastic Ramen! I got miso ramen, rich creamy but delicate broth! Now I need to come back for the tonkatsu broth, the pork belly isn’t as tender as I usually like or get at ramen shops! See ya soon!
I’ve had the tonkotsu, miso, shoyu, and the seafood tsukemen, and all have been impeccable. Soup is on the creamy side, the noodles are perfectly chewy.Baka Umai is not just the best ramen place in Portland; I also know that its combination of solid fundamentals (noodles, soup) and inspired toppings (pickled shiitake, chicken charsiu) will make it a hit in Japan too!

Ramen was super tasty, the silky red tonkotsu is spicy and rich, and I loved the flavors of the runny egg. I found myself wishing my broth could magically come back, it was that good. I went with a party of five, and the service to secure a table wasn’t particularly the best. The seating is quite close, not super ideal for larger groups than 3-4.
