Nicely varied selection of beers, IPAs, Ales, Lager. Cider, and for the timid PBR. Pinball, Video poker. Patio out back. Staff is friendly. It's city parking, I walked a block or so, not bad in the city. It's a bar. I may become a regular.

One of my go-to East Hawthorne spots! The drinks are strong, the staff is sharp, and I love the back patio for summer nights! I haven't tried their food yet but I tend to end up there after a night of Quarter World ;)

This is a fun dive bar with great drinks. The bartender was great at giving drink suggestions. Love the vibe of this place. Give this place a try!
This place is a dumpster. They ran out of multiple drink components, the floors are sticky, and they played Pearl Jam the entire time I was there. As well, the drinks are stiff and cheap, the bar staff is sweet, but with an attitude, and the clientele are a wildly mixed bag. For a late night spot in Portland, I can't imagine a better place to spend a couple hours. Will definitely return.

I'm not sure where it gets the name Bar of the Gods, when it simply is a dive bar with forgettable drinks and only a snack menu. The interior is dated and they do have a pool table, but the best seats are outside. These are smoke friendly, so be advised. The bartender was an absolute joy though, and was helpful in recommending

Stumbled upon an incendent were two young men were doing a harmless act of throwing water balloons at random strangers. I can see how people would get upset over the funny act of such prank. However when the owner of the bar approached these young men he began to approach them with major hostility ended up shuving the young man to the ground. Keep in mind that the bar owner was twice there size picking on someone much smaller than him.Furthermore began his aggressive behavior with following the two men to the other bar across the street. In which the bar owner of BOG was clearly looking to further the altercation.In hind sight the BOG bar owner went over board with his actions and will possibly have to face a civil suit for further harassment.-Wittness-New!
