I absolutely adored this place! All the Betty Boop memorabilia was a sheer delight! However, I simply wanted to order something with eggs on the side, as I'm allergic, but my husband loves them, and I got an earful from the kitchen as if I was being super complicated. They literally shouted throughout the entire restaurant, which was beyond inappropriate. It was such an easy ask, and to make matters worse, they brought everything on separate plates for a scramble as if to shame us. We dumped it all together, and it was delicious!! I'm truly disappointed how they treated someone with an allergy, totally uncalled for, and it's a shame because without that, my review would have been 5 stars.

Our waitress - perfect service, and she was TERRIFIC, and played well into our silly mood. We all really enjoyed our meals. The Betty Boop motif could use a screen showing BB cartoons - remind people how fabulous she is in action. We’ll be back soon.

Friendly atmosphere. Lots of 50s-60s Americana. Best breakfast steak I’ve had in years and nice thick-cut bacon, for an extremely good price too. Will return!

Breakfast was great. Fast and welcoming service. I always feel happy when leaving here. The betty boop decor is amazing! And the menu options perfect. It's an excellent diner for a quick breakfast.

If you are a fan of Betty boop then you would give this place a full five stars for atmosphere. If you like Americana restaurants, this place will give you exactly what you expect. Good good food decent prices and regular polite service.Kid-friendliness: The place is covered head to toe in Betty Boop stuff. I could see a kid having a good time there.

I almost passed this place by, and I'm so glad I made a u-turn. Such an adorable cafe and if you like Betty Boop, you will LOVE this place! Everywhere you look there are tons of Betty Boop memorabilia! Almost like walking into a museum. It's mainly a breakfast place since they close at 2, but they have sandwiches and omelets. I was hoping they had a create your own, but since I didn't see one on the menu (which was kind of small), I opted for the chicken strips. They were very good and came with a cute little metal basket of fries. The owner was really friendly and there's a parking lot out front. Not a whole lot of parking, but when I was there around 1145, I found a place right in front. I will definitely seek this place out on my next trip to Portland to try their other menu items. They have milkshakes which I really want to try. I bet they're amazing.

Betty Boop decor is so cute, food is fast and tasty, Julie is friendly and efficient, prices are moderate, good choices for vegetables/meat, accommodating with substitutions. We love it!Vegetarian options: Very accommodating for dietary restrictions.Parking: 2nd lot across the street, ample street parking, handicap parking-2 spaces at front door.

Dishes filthy. Service begrudging. Food bad. I'm so angry that I just wasted money here trying to take my girls out for a nice lunch.

A local treasure, high ceiling cafe with breakfast until 2PM.Outdoor tables that are quiet (little street noise on Holgate) and have overhangs to shield you from rain. Owner Julie I will likely greet you, and what a pleasure that is! I had the Caesar salad chicken wrap, and friends had burgers with a cute little wire mesh basket of fries, or a pancake with eggs over easy. Sublime, and recommended.

Been there quite a few times. I love Betty Boop and have a few BB items. The theme is Betty Boop as far as the eye can see. Julie is great! The food is delicious. Next door is Memory Lane, they sell old classic cars. Food and a car show, what's not to love!

We went to Bees Knees as a party of 3 at 10:00 AM on Saturday. We were able to be seated right away, and had a lot of fun checking out all of the Betty Boop decor! It was so clean and well organized. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. This was so simple and good! Whatever they season their chicken with is wonderful. I ordered my wrap with no tomatoes. I would be happy to order this again. I love how unique this place is-did you know they have a fry of the month? Our waitress was lovely and she even did the Betty Boop makeup! This was such a fun way to start a day in Portland. We will absolutely be back!

Oh this place was fun. I got to sit outside and enjoy the morning and watch awesome classic cars drive in and out the entire stay. Staff was friendly and food was delicious. The pancakes had a little cinnamon on top which was a nice touch.
