Small bagel shop that you might just walk right on by if you didn't know it was there. Delicious bagel sandwiches and some of the best coffee I've had since moving here.

11:15 am no bagels! - how do you guys make lunch sandwiches? amazingly short sighted planning.Place is still grungy and in dire need of a refresh / clean up.Staff are always super nice here.couple of years old review below. not much has changed.A small shop on Broadway surrounded by homeless craziness they could do with cleaning their shop up a bit, making it a touch nicer and also being a touch more welcoming to their customers. The bagels are ok, I might even say good, but I am no new yorker. Their menu seems a smidge over priced for the quality of the food and experience. With a little investment from the owners to make this a bit nicer of a place, I think it would go a long way, fresh coat of paint, keep it cleaner, a few more lights and nice bar stool area would not take much. Now, if their food was amazing and it was a bit gritty that would be another review, but it's not. Dear owners, invest some cash, maybe pay your workers more and maybe they would be nicer and maybe you would have more customers too.

Stopped by this bagel shop near Old Town and was a little underwhelmed compared to the other bagel shops in town. I really appreciated that there were 4 vegan shmear options- I went with the Savory Vegan on a Chipotle Salt bagel. The flavor of the bagel was awesome, but the shmear was not great. Texture was strange and not super flavorful. I’m glad I tried it but am not eager to return.Vegetarian options: 4 vegan shmear options

Highly recommend the herb schmeer! Good NY style bagels, 5/5 service, great coffee. Small but cute decorations to look like a subway station. No hand sanitizer or bathroom to wash your hands in though, so loses public health points for me.

Delicious schmear and bacon! Bagels could be a bit softer, but the flavor is delicious!

Not the most impressive bagels, and with no bathroom you aren’t supposed to dine-in.

Went in to order two plain bagels with cream cheese. Walked in and the lady working there just stared at me and said nothing. she would not respond to me when trying to place my order. After 6 minutes she finally tells me what do you want it’s going to be 20 minutes. I asked for just plain bagels with cream cheese and she had an attitude. Based on reviews I had higher expectations and would have expected better communication or even a greeting when entering this establishment. Would not eat here unless you like waiting and getting attitude for an outrageous cost of nearly 5 dollars for a bagel with cream cheese.

I ordered The Jesse Applegate (vegan cheese, egg, and sausage) on a sesame bagel. The sandwich looked and tasted buttery, but the menu doesn't mention that. It was good, but I would have enjoyed it more had there been somewhere to sit down to eat.
Good, old school bagels. Service is fast and friendly. Cool, laid back vibe. There is nowhere to sit, but there are counters to stand at.

This place is great for authentic New York-style bagels. Friendly people, too. My only complaint has to do with the neighborhood, because downtown is still a hellhole. Oh, and they need better signage, because I pedaled past here a number of times before ever realizing it was there.

Had a Jesse Applegate on parvesan. It was warm, delicious, hit the spot - and was fully vegan! Very friendly service, as well. Would recommend for a quick breakfast. Might be best to take it to-go though, as there is no seating area. (Sorry, no pictures... forgot to take some as I was too hungry!)
