Food was excellent definitely great to go in a group or for a takeout order I would highly recommend the noodle stir fry. Atmosphere is nice such a cool history and servers were quick but a bit dismissive which was off putting for a first time experience.

Good food, service is fast, very traditional. Pretty clean. Almost perfect. Thanks for the food.

Awesome food! Very tasty and perfect for me. Place is clean and beautiful, owner is nice, and food comes out quick. There is nothing bad to say about this restaurant. I would definitely come back again.

Food was good for the most part, but extremely overpriced for what you get. The portions are large, but several of the items I tried were bland. I've made homemade noodles myself, so I think these are definitely comparable to past made at home, so that's a plus, but I don't get the big deal about the dumplings.....they are okay, bit not what several claim to be "delicious"....Best thing we ordered was the garlic green beans....tasty and some left over to take home, but 14.95 is a little excessive as far as price point goes. Sweet and sour chicken was good, crunchy, but pieces of chicken were very small under all of that breading. The dumplings came with a small dish of dipping sauce that had a LOT of RAW garlic in it!!! Very over powering. Server was nice, but spread very thin. We had to ask for every single thing ie:water refill, forks, to go boxes...We also went in on a whim, not knowing the review from the TV show, so we' were surprised with the menu. It is bare minimum....no explanation of what is in the dish, there were no pics....etc. we had to ask someone to explain portion size, and what comes with the dish. Each dish is 14-19$ so knowing if you can share helps when figuring out what to order. And by the way NOTHING comes with each entree. You have to buy rice if you want it to accompany. And it is 2$ per small 1.5 cup bowl!! Overall, we were not impressed....It was okay, but not worth the price. Also, parking is awful. We ended up paying to park which is many times expected in popular areas of town. But the price was almost as much as paying premium to park at the Moda Center. For 45minutes, it was $9.90, and the minute it goes over 45 minutes, they automatically charge another 9.90.....so it was a pretty expensive evening for food that was under flavored and over priced.

Excellent place and the food is delicious! The noodles and dumplings are must tries and I personally love the beef & broccoli. They're also very accommodating as I don't eat soy so they alter menu items with garlic sauce or other options.

Went on a Saturday night. Not super busy. We ordered some skewers lamb beef and chicken. Squid was good beef skewer was chewing and so was lamb. Everything was too salty for me. Service was good though.

For the first time, we were able to have lunch dining in, as the food offerings were only take-out during Covid-19. We had Braised Pork Belly, Stir-Fried Garlic Green Beans and Chinese Leek & Pork Dumplings. They were all so delicious that we couldn't stop eating even after we were full.? My husband was especially surprised that the dumplings tasted exactly the same as the ones his Chinese friends used to make for him when he was in school, and he said "I have finally found the flavor I have been wanting! "? In fact, we felt that the dumplings at this restaurant tasted as good or better than those at the more expensive Chinese restaurants in Washington Square, but at a more reasonable price. The only server in the restaurant was quite busy, but she served us quickly and efficiently. We would definitely go back to this restaurant again.

Really bomb! Absolutely loved all the things we got here, however the service was bad. The lady who checked up out was so beyond rude and hated that we asked for 2 samples when it was our first try, so that was interesting, other than that, I definitely recommend

Best Chinese food I have had in Portland. Maybe some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? I’ve ordered Togo here twice and was pleased, but just ate in person last night and the food and service was top notch. They focus on northern Chinese cuisine so they menu might not carry some staples that are available at other Chinese restaurants, but order out of your comfort zone! We tried the pickled pepper noodles on a whim and they were excellentAlso the pork and leek dumplings were packed with flavor. So good!

I recently ordered food from Chin's Kitchen, as I have done numerous times. This time I ordered Chef's special stir fry, with shrimp, beef and chicken for $18.95 to go. I had never experienced a bad meal there. i was very disappointed this time. We counted 2 shrimp, 3 very small pieces of chicken, and 2 pieces of beef. Very bad! I called to speak to the manager or owner, which neither were there. The person that answered the phone was very rude and said he would give me $5 off of next meal. When I said I would leave a negative review on yelp, he laughed and hung up. I will never go back there again!

Food is a 10! Been searching for good Chinese food here, they delivered. Big but not obnoxious portions. Service was good and ambiance was comfortable

Have you ever been to a place that far exceeds your expectations? chin's kitchen is that place. I got some assistance when I first walked in, a client informed me to use the touch screen to log in and request a table. The place was thumping but I was seated quickly because I was alone and a 2 seat table was open. The menu is full but I cluttered, I watched huge portions on highly stacked plates come out of to the tables and everything looked great. My dish took a little time to arrive but boy was it amazing. Thick chewy delicious noodles with lots of shrimp chicken and beef. Way too much for one ! This place was a treat. If you are reading this put down your phone and run to Chins and have a wonderful dining experience.
