I absolutely love this place and everything it invites us in for!! The food is amazing! The atmosphere is fabulous! Their meal prices are surprisingly less than I would have expected. I have had dinner there twice in the last month. Both times I have ordered their French Dip Sandwich with salad for only $15. Heads up, it is only leafy lettuce of sorts. Nothing else, except dressing of course. Which I like variety, and get 3 different ones on the side. House dressing, ranch and thousand island. You can get fries if you prefer. Either way, or whatever you order there, I doubt it will disappoint. The people I went with each time loved their dishes as well. So, I have no complaints with Clyde's, which is considered one of Portland's oldest restaurants.Wait! I take that back. The parking can suck. The lot is too small to accommodate the crowd it brings...but there is parking on the street as well. So don't let me scare you away from this place because of that. Basically, just be prepared for the possibility that you might not find a spot in the lot *: ) but, like most of us feel, no problem, it's worth it.So, that's the only issue I have with this place; and it's not necessarily a bad thing if you think about it. I mean, I know parking can be an issue. But, sometimes you can get lucky like I've been, and even find front row parking. If you are looking for a nice place to take a date, or hang out with friends/family you haven't seen in a while and want a nice place to go (as was the case my last visit), or if you haven't yet been to Clyde's Prime Rib Restaurant and Bar... I definitely recommend them.

Normally an absolute amazing experience. My fiance and I have been going here for the last 2 years and each time the service was absolutely amazing until last night. We ordered 2 Cadillac margaritas, a calamari appetizer, 14 oz prime rib and a rib eye with lobster tail. With French fries and 2 creme brulee. Our server was not very attentive. We had to ask for a refill on water and RC cola, I received a baked potato instead of French fries with my meal that almost tasted stale and not fresh. Both calamari and the lobster tail were very gummy like in texture and was not evenly cooked. The meal came out warm at best. My fiances prime rib and my rib eye were rare not medium rare like we asked for, hard to chew, and hard to cut through. Normally I give this place a 5 star recommendation but last night just wasn't it. I understand how busy it was but the atmosphere gave like a trucker diner feel with how tye food felt rushed and with a frat party screaming the entire time. People pushing into us so we couldn't even enjoy our dinner. It was extremely unpleasant. My fiance ordered 2 creme brulee for dessert and our waitress only brought one and we were unable to flag her down to bring another. This was just not vibe we were going for last night and it put a damper on our moods as this was the last big restaurant that we love before we move out of state. Overall I'll do a 3 star review due to us typically not having this problem

Great place as long as your wealthy and look it otherwise be prepared for the stepchild treatment so to speak if you can ignore being treated like they wish that you would never have walked in the food is great little spendy but worth it forsure and the atmosphere is not bad a bit dark forsure but a great time there's video poker in the back good music and very much dependent on if you look to have money or not great service....Parking: Lots but very often very fullKid-friendliness: Sure kids could go but, ide suggest leaving them at home
Older decor, older crowd, good music/bands depending on the night. People are dancing but there's no space and very crowded. It's also hot in there on the band side. The food is decent but not amazing. If you're thinking of going alone, don't. It's better in groups or couples who want to get out late night to spend time dancing or people watching. It has some interesting characters.Parking: If you get there late you won't find parking in the free lot. Parking is on the street in that case.

Amazing food. Vibe felt like I walked into a 1960s swanky eatery where you might see Dean Martin. Everything on the menu was delicious. Steaks cooked to perfection, reasonable priced!

This place is a throwback to old school steakhouse in the 70’s and 80’s. I was pleasantly surprised by the great food. I would go back
Has a nice retro vibe and good looking design throughout the place. Has the most legit steaks in Portland from my experience.

Food was ok but some of the worst service I've had in a long time. Mixed up and forgotten drinks and food, dirty silverware, ranch dressing on the bottom of our water carafe, no dessert menu after being requested. Add still got hit with a large table service tip for 6 people. Definitely not coming back.

The food was awful! Had hot wings??♂️. My wife had some clam chowder and A Caesar salad. Clam chowder was downright awful and the Caesar had no Caesar.
