Purchased 5 different entrees and each one was unique and very good. The lamb dishes were cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish were suttle and not overpowering. My only complaint being the vegetables that accompanied each dish were way overcooked for my liking.

I’ve been wanting to try Eleni’s for years, so I finally made a reservation to take my friend out for her birthday. We were pretty disappointed. We ordered about 5 different dishes and all were lackluster. Saganaki was great - hard to mess that up. The grape leaves tasted either canned or generally not made in house at all. Stuffed eggplant (vegetarian) was strange because it included a lot of items not on the menu (cauliflower, zucchini, SHREDDED CARROTS and no feta). It wasn’t bad but just wasn’t worth the price. We were excited to try the main dish - arni me filo. It was awful. The bottom layer of the dish was flavorless tomato sauce with a few chunks of lamb, while the top layer was literally more raw shredded carrots and baby spinach.I had really high hopes for Eleni’s, but overall I was sad to spend $100+ on a meal when there are SO many amazing options in the city.I will say the service was great - no complaints there.

Atmosphere was great. Service was swift and professional but a bit impersonal. The flaming Saganaki and the Greek salad were amazing. The spanakopita was Weird with a honey topping. The brazed lamb shank was good but kind of dull. The Mousaka was pretty good. But they ruined the baklava. The baklava itself was not sweet and sort of soggy on the bottom. They put a thick whipped cream with some candied oranges on top and a dollop of strawberry poached in port. None of that went with baklava… Oh… it is all pretty expensive.
Wonderful place, highly recommend! We’ve eaten here a number of times and every dish we’ve had has been excellent, and the service is great too - got confused about an item (greek names) and didn’t get what we expected - the waiter did not hesitate to take it back and promise to deliver what we intended to order; our mistake but no problem, no hassle. White table cloths, well designed decor.

Claims to be an unpretentious spot for Greek comfort food yet it is over $20 for a vegetarian moussaka that wasn't even very good or large enough in portion to be worth it...a dish I got in Greece constantly for no more than 10 euros and would last 2 meals.
