Here comes a bold claim but for us, it was the best meal we had during our Portland trip.We went in with an open mind and it didn’t disappoint. The menu is built akin to tapas in terms of portions so keep that in mind. They do the rice plate set menu but we had more fun doing a la carte. The chicken satay worked well with the sambal flight and the best meal was the braised pork with rice noodles + rojak salad. The decor made it more enjoyable to be in but be prepared to spend as this was an expensive meal. We thought it was worth it but the pricing does add up past 5 a 6 dishes that mathematically, it might be worth doing the set menu.

Yes yes yes. Wow, way above my expectations. Everything was very flavorful. The tasting menu was dynamic and filling. I'm obsessed with the clam and pork curry. I would come back. I highly recommend.

My hubby and I went here for our 3rd anniversary, and it was a great experience! The waitstaff was super nice, and incredibly helpful. Food was surprisingly very fast, and everything we got was delicious. The food wasn't quite like anything I'd had before; can't wait to take some of my friends!Very cute interior, i just might have to put the shrimp and crab wallpaper in my own kitchen lol((They have dishes under $20, their most expensive dish is just about $30. We splurged since it was our anniversary and with drinks we spent about $85-is.))Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Many dishes can be changed to vegan/vegetarianDietary restrictions: For those with Allergies, they are extremely accomodating! They offer an allergy menu and are very clear as to whats in what and if it can be replaced. The server also answered any additional questions i had.

The flavors were incredible! We ordered the Rice Table, which is their tasting menu and received a dozen different dishes. Everything we had was exceptional.Vegetarian options: Many to choose from, plus they are very accommodating if you ask them to leave out the meat. There are so many flavors in each dish that even if you're not a vegetarian, you won't miss the meat.Dietary restrictions: Asian restaurants are great for dairy-free options. Only a few items had gluten, but they have a separate menu devoted to allergen- free dishes.

We had their Rice Table dinner, which was tasty but I would never do it again because at $85/person it didn't live up to the price tag. I WOULD recommend this restaurant overall though, it is a unique restaurant to find in Portland and it had great dishes. Make a reservation because it does get busy.

Can’t believe we waited so long to make it Gado Gado. Very delicious food!We got here before the dinner rush and it was so fast! Even after it was full our food orders were pretty quick, which was great.Food wise every dish we had was delicious. I loved the Chicken Satay - it was cooked to perfection and the salt was incredible on it. The peanut sauce is my new favorite in Portland.Every dish was layered and had huge attention to detail. The rice is also really well done - the turmeric in it tasted perfection. We ordered about half the items off the Al Carte menu. Every dish hit the spot. The Rendang Beef is worth every cent. The Beef is slow cooked and melts in your mouth.Another favorite dish was the Sweet Potato and Parsnip - my god it was awesome. And the sauce that came with it was spicy and tasty.Gado Gado is expensive compared to a brew pub type food but the food is next level and the prices are great compared to other fine dining.I’m not a big seafood person but was easily able to find items to order and REALLY enjoy. If you’re on the fence about going - hop off and take a vacation to flavor town. Ok sorry about that bad line but you gotta scope out Gado Gado.

One of the very few Indonesian style restaurants around here. Everything we tried was tasty . Be prepared though. Micro portions, macro prices.

Ever get embarrassed for inviting friends some place that's not that great? Yeah. I knew I was in trouble when I got my cocktail and sure enough, it was the theme for the night.Average taste, overpriced, small portion. We tried many dishes and everything was ok, but very small portions for "family style". The shumai was $18 for 5 small dumplings. I've had better at half the price... this week. The chicken satay was $15 for 3 small bites. I simply cannot see myself returning as there is no value.
