Pre-ordered their much promoted Hot Cross Buns. Picked them and got home to see them made with no care at all as to how they put the icing on top. Supposed to be a nice symmetrical cross on top not a train wreck!

Holy bread!!! Massive air bubble holes in their como loaves routinely, leaving half the slice missing for spreading on. It is tasty, I'll give them that.

this place is great! my water cup had someone's frosting on it and that was kinda gross but its chill. my croissant and hot chocolate were both very yummy. the cubano i got later came with paper inside it??? but it was still pretty good imo(i ate around it)

We’ve eaten in for breakfast and coffee and the food was delicious but expensive. The space is crowded and noisy, especially on weekends. Expect to wait in line for everything. Love their breads but will only drop in and take out from now on.Polite staffRestroom is cleanCards acceptedStreet parking only

I waited 30 min for an overcooked egg and bacon sandwich. 1 egg and 2 pieces of bacon on a dry roll. Zero customer service. Woman at the grill was rude and did not care one bit. When I inquired about my order, she practically ignored me. There seemed to be plenty of people working and they were all much more interested in talking amongst themselves then helping customers. I live locally but will not return to this location ever again.

Clam chowder was ok, a little bland. Cinnamon brioche was not brioche. It was very dry. Recipe needs more butter in the dough.

Bottomless drip coffee and delicious scratch-made baked goods.

Loved this place. My niece brought me here and I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. The fresh baked pastries were delicious!

This place is a sleeper if you are just rolling down woodstock, be sure to stop in for the early opening so you can grab a warm quiche. I personally enjoy the summer harvest tomato ?

I really do enjoy Grand Central but pricing is sometimes a bit out of my reach. So it's not a regular destination, it's more of a special occasion kind of thing for me. Food is always good, service is always good. No real argument, sometimes the lines are a bit long but that's nothing that really interrupts my enjoyment of the place.

The Veggie Grinder is incredible especially the poppyseed bread on it. Chocolate Chip cookies are great also!

EDIT (2 years later): The service has greatly improved. I'm upping it from 2 to 4 stars.Original review: The food is fine, but the service is absolutely infuriating. First, there was only one person in line in front of me who ordered two things, but it still took more than a reasonable amount of time to get to the front of the line. The worst thing was the cashier who served me couldn't be bothered to grab a cinnamon roll and a croissant that were literally a foot and a half from his hand after I paid and asked him for my food, citing a "weird order of operations that would be boring to explain" - ...it's like they're trying to test your patience. After I ordered, (two items that were on display in the glass case DIRECTLY NEXT TO THE CASHIER - nothing prepared) I had to stand there while the cashier helped several other customers. I finally had to ask for my food. It's a BAKERY - when people order food, just give them the damned food. It's like they want people to stand around and be irritated. Just take care of one customer at a time and actually give them the thing they paid for instead of relying on your "order of operations" to justify your terrible service.

I like the pastries and bread a lot, but have never eaten there. A friend wanted to and not being a fan of sandwiches, I was happy to see curried chicken salad on tbe online menu for this location. It was not on house menu so I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich. The combination of Gouda and cheddar cheese was good although the bread was only sort of toasted and it came with a pickle. One orders at counter and they call your name to pick up. We were sitting in back room so when I went to get our coffee, I was going to carry both and they were full to the brim. A kind lady helped me or would necessitated 2 trips.

Today I ordered a sausage, egg, and biscuit sandwich at about 9:30am. The biscuit was hard, and crumbled when I bit into it. I realize now I should have reported it at the time, and asked for a replacement, but I didn't. A bakery that sells what was probably a day-old product isn't a bakery I will visit again.
