Stumbled on Henry Higgins and was pleasantly surprised. My daughter ordered a breakfast bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon and said it was the best bagel she'd ever had! Nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Will return on our next visit to Portland!

These are the hardest, stiffest boiled bagels I've ever had in my entire life. My jaw hurts after eating from here. And their blueberry bagels never taste like blueberry, it always tastes like onion. This time it tasted like their jalapeño bagel. Not good.

Just stopped in and was given a blank stare after saying hello and thank you... which is fine no one was having a good day, I understand, but while making my bagel all workers complained about the horrible nasty customers and how they could not wait to leave... it was only 11 am . Was slightly nervous to eat my bagel, don't recommend.

This place is a complete mess. Looked kind of empty, ordered a bagel. 20 min later… still no bagel.

Best I’ve found but I really hope it’s not the best bagel in Portland

I have been CRAVING a bagel with cream cheese and bacon, so finally got that craving satisfied today. I ordered a half dozen everything bagels and a 1/2 pound of onion cream cheese. Overall once put together like in the picture, it was soooo good and it was worth the wait for me. I live in Vancouver, and made sure to tip my UberEats driver well for making a trip up here in order to make the drive worth his while. Detail-wise, I have some critique. I've lived in New York on Nassau County Long Island and in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, so I know a good NY bagel and this isn't it. They're trying, though. First, the bagel: wasn't completely white, which showed quite a bit after toasting. Wasn't bad, but not the traditional look, so totally minor. Also, I think it really does have to do with the water. I've also lived in Turkey and there's something about Mediterranean-area bread that not even New York can recreate. Same here. The Pacific Northwest cannot recreate a NY bagel, regardless of the quality of ingredients, so it's got to be the water. Second and last critique: the cream cheese. In New York, you'd never hear the end of it using whipped cream cheese. There's so much air in there, you're cheating your customers and they'd let you know it! ("You're" and "your" being the corporate decision-makers, fyi.) Regular cream cheese with stirred-in ingredients is how it should be. All in all, a great bagel and worth the trip and/or the order, should you be considering this place for the first time. Thanks for satisfying my craving, Henry Higgins on 19th!

Used to be a great spot, loved coming here, one of the things I was excited about when I moved back into the neighborhood. Now rude staff, mid bagels, and an unmarked pickup area.Save your time and money by going to Safeway

I got the salmon lox bagel, and for $16 I was full all day. A great value on top of delicious freshness.

Man. This is just disappointing. I'm an Uber eats driver, look how they packaged one of the orders ?. Just chucked them in the bag like that? I'd be so upset if my bagels were delivered like this. Y'all don't have any baggies to keep them fresh? Could've wrapped them up or something. Maybe put them in a smaller baggie or something? But just throwing them into the bag

This place is kind of a disaster, and they charge extra for everything. It’s always a long wait for bagels that are mid af, and they will mess up the order you paid extra for :(. Employees were nice, but I felt bad for them, the place is a total mess, feels like someone neglects this shop.
