Excellent thali platter. Most Indian restaurants only offer at lunch, but Indian House has for dinner

UPDATE: went to lunch there again because I had a coworker who wanted Indian and I didn't want to walk all the way to PSU, this place has improved greatly since my last visit! I had the lamb vindaloo and he had the Chicken Tikki, both dishes had tons of flavor and a great spice level, the naan was super bubbly and tasty. All-in-all a great dining experience, this spot will be going back in my weekly rotation!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Not sure if dinner service is better but the buffet options were fairy bland and limited. No palak paneer, no samosas, no pakora, and the closest dish to a tikki masala was weirdly sweet. Just about everything tasted under spiced, which is almost never a problem at Indian places. I almost asked them if they had some chili or a salt shaker in the back. Only protein on the buffet was chicken in a few dishes. I did like the naan and tandoori chicken, but all in all I left full but fairly disappointed.

Disappointing Experience with India House via Uber EatsMy recent order from India House through Uber Eats was a letdown, especially considering the hefty price tag of over $50. The lamb dish was overly salty and tasted as if it had been sitting for ages. The naan lacked freshness and the chicken tikka masala was bland and dry. For the amount paid, the quality of the food was far below expectations. I would advise others to steer clear of this establishment to avoid similar disappointments.

The food and sauces were very good. We ordered a variety of food and enjoyed it. The fried vegetables were a bit over cooked. The waiter was amazing and I felt like they needed another one. A bit short staffed. (Sat night) This is a small restaurant and the Max is very loud inside the restaurant. You can skip the dessert- we didn’t care for that (goat cheese). Otherwise a great experience and great food.

I eat here all the time. Probably too often. The food is great. I highly recommend the chicken thali dinner, and I would probably die for the lamb kebobs. The service however is really lacking. Today I was given 2 desserts in my chicken thali, i got kheer instead of raita and had to go to the hospital.I highly suggest some more efficient front of house staff. Let me know if you're hiring because I'd love to make sure this never happens again to anyone else.
Amazing food, some of the best I've had on the West Coast, and the staff was a joy! Amazing service!

Worst Indian Food I had!!!!Mango lassi was really diluted with water and hardly tastes the mango flavorOrdered two thali dinners to go and did not come with a full piece of naan for both dinnersRice was tasteless and so was the lamb churry and chicken piecesWould not recommend for take out
India House has very good food, incredible service, and presents a very welcoming environment. You can get a delightful thali for less than $20, and the food is good enough that if you do, you'll want to come back and order it again.

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had!Sadly, there were two families in there with about 8 kids. The kids were playing on, under, and around all 14 tables. I had a kid crawl under the table WE were seated at and grab my legs. When I looked at his parents his dad said “he is a kid, what do you feckin want me to do”. They had absolutely ZERO class. If you can’t give your kids even the most basic minimum of training then don’t bring them out. The other kids were banging on the windows, spilling stuff, and literally screaming non stop. The workers at the restaurant didn’t stop it or care in any way. The whole thing was a dumpster fire and if I could give it negative stars I would. The food was very sub par on top of the disgusting atmosphere.Don’t waste your time, money, or sanity at this place. I knew Portland was ick but this was top level disappointment at what they are advertising as “fine dining”. Complete joke.
