One of our favorite restaurants in Portland. Great food and friendly people.

Went for the pad key mao and wasn't disappointed! They have a small spot but the service is great and the menu is robust. Great way to spend an evening but be warned that there aren't any alcoholic drinks available.

Super delicious, quick, good prices for large portions. Always have leftovers. Many Thai options in this neighborhood but this has become my go to!

I called to place a takeout order of khao soi with tofu, spicy. I picked it up after about 20 minutes as they said, and it was ready for me. I paid $12.50 for it and went my way home to eat it! I dumped some spinach at the bottom of my bowl since there were no veggies, and then I poured the soup with tofu into the bowl. I was very surprised at the amount of tofu! They did not skimp at all, wow. I then put the noodles in, and although they were a bit stuck, they were fine after I mixed the soup in. The noodles were chewy and long, and the curry flavor in the soup was amazing. It was strong and delicious, and it was actually spicy. I really enjoyed the meal. I also really appreciated how they separated the soup and the noodles so the noodles didn't get soggy. It was absolutely awesome, would definitely recommend it! Great prices too for the amount of food.

Most authentic Khao soi I’ve had in town. Incredible prices and portions. Will definitely be back to try more

My go-to spot for good Thai food. Many Thai spots over season and/or make their noodle dishes sweet. Kala's seasonings is perfect. Great taste, friendly staff. It's not hip some of the other Thai spots in town, but it's legit.

Hands down my favorite ma and pa Thai food shop. Prices are so reasonable, portions are large, and the food is so tasty! Their noodle dishes are the stand out here - the pad kee Mao is spicy, but so delicious - they can’t make it less spicy cause I think the chili is built into the sauce. Definitely recommend this place for any of their noodle dishes.

Great Khao soi served here. Also notable for some of the best crab puffs I've had in a while. Kind, clean, speedy service.

For when you're craving better-than-average classic American Thai food you grew up with. I think a hidden gem in Morrison/Belmont area. Have yet to sit inside but have enjoyed quite a bit of takeout in 2020.

I would eat at Kala every day if I could afford it. The pad see ew is the best I've ever had-- it has a smoky, charred aspect to it that is superb. We also like the Kana moo krab... it's one of the specials with pork belly and Chinese broccoli. Ask for a fried egg on top! The chicken wings are also fantastic. The people here are really kind. They are taking good COVID precautions from what I've seen. I'm glad they are still in business and wish them prosperity in the new year.
